Limoncello — Restaurant in Carmen

My husband and I came here seeking some good Italian food and were more than pleased. It was a collection of great service by the staff, especially our waiter, Justin, and the delicious food prepared by the chef. We had the Insalata de Casa to start, and it was so fresh and tasty with the prosciutto and asparagus in it. My husband had the Salmon Miel with the crunchy almond crust and orange and honey sauce that was to die for. It was on a bed of risotto, which was also nice. I had the Spaghetti al la Cuchara de Chef with mushrooms and peppers that was in a casserole dish covered with bread, and it too was delicious. The bottle of red wine from mendoza called Trumpeter paired nicely. For our dessert we went with the Chocolate flambay and it was spectacular! We had a very nice time at Limoncello. They seated us in our own private room for two in a small cute room at the top of the stairs. It looked like there was at least one other couple with their own private room Unitarian, plus one room with a larger party.

The Limoncello pizza was very good. We also had the gluten free spaghetti bolognese which did not disappoint.

After dinner, the waiter brought us a glass of Limoncello and Amaretto on the house which was very nice. We asked what the best dessert was and the server suggested the chocolate volcano which was served with a pour of liquor lit on fire. Very decadent and good.

My boyfriend and I recently dined at Limoncello, and we were very impressed by their dedication to gluten-free dining. As my boyfriend is celiac, we appreciated the extra care they took with his meal. He ordered the pasta and declared it the best he’s ever had.

The restaurant’s attention to detail was outstanding. When they brought out his food, the plate had a sticker indicating it was gluten-free, ensuring there was no cross-contamination. Additionally, they offered him gluten-free bread toasted in a separate toaster. This level of care is rare and made us feel valued.
