This restaurant was the biggest surprise of our culinary adventures in Costa Rica. Located in a slightly industrial urban area right off the highway and in a small strip mall/food court next to a busy gas station, we would not have given it a second thought, but the huge number of positive reviews compelled us to give it a try, and, boy, were we glad we did. Starting with their frozen mint lemonade, which was truly the best I’ve ever had in my life, their food was so fresh and delicious, we could easily see why this place is so highly regarded. The side salad was exceptional with some sort of mystery minty house dressing that really elevated it to more than just a side dish, and my chicken fajitas was otherworldly With several additional ingredients in the sauté, that really brought things together in a unique way. my companion’s fish stew with a coconut curry base was the best she has ever had. Not only would I go there again if I was in the area, I would drive an hour and a half to experience this treasure again. It’s on the way to Rincon Vieja volcano national park, located next to an exceptional woodfired oven pizza place, a popular taco place, and a lively bar, so if you are in a mixed group who all want to eat something different that night, this is a great...

Lunch starts at 11:30am but most of their platters weren’t available to order yet. I ordered the beef fajita which was seasoned well but some were a bit tough to chew. My bf ordered the spare ribs and they were basically raw, causing it to be extremely tough to eat off the bone. The side salad was fresh and loved the dressing. I also enjoyed their seasoned rice. All the other members of our table enjoyed their meals! Everything had a lot of flavor to it and healthy portion for a lunch meal. Since we sat outside, it was a little harder to get service. However, the food came out...
Read moreThe place was right across from Hotel Boyeros so we walked across instead of having Taco Bell, KFC, or McDonald's. The food was delicious and the server was very patient with our mediocre Spanish and taught us a few things. For example, 3/4 is what they call well done here. The fajitas came with no tortilla shells which was a first but flavorful regardless, the cordon blue was a unique find on the menu here and was done to perfection, dad was really not impressed with his burger as it was dry and crumbly. Cooked way past his liking. However, refer back to the list of other nearby restaurants and this knocks it out...
