This place comes with rave reviews and recommendations for a reason - it’s awesome. The great service is matched by great food. We had this place on our list over a few visits to the area and finally were able to enjoy it - don’t wait until a second trip, get dinner here the first time! Our server was prompt and no nonsense, but very friendly and had our orders, drinks, and food quickly. We spent some time talking to the owner, Orlando, and he was not only friendly but genuine and an awesome host. We tried a variety of drinks, all were great, and had the tuna margarita and plantain tower for appetizers, both were awesome. We tried a special entree with shrimp and the catch of the day with mango salsa, that was very good. We also had to give the fried fish basket a try and it didn’t disappoint. Awesome spot, great owner and staff, cool intimate space. Get there early or prepare for a wait, but know there’s a reason for the buzz! Update: Made another visit to Agua Azul during lunch on another visit to Manuel Antonio and tried the chicken tacos this time - they were delicious and now come with a recommendation! Yum!

This place came highly recommended from our Airbnb host and it definitely delivered. Be prepared for a bit of a wait on weekend nights if you come after ~6:30 because it gets packed … and for good reason. The service is excellent, views of the ocean and Esparilla beach are unmatched, and the food absolutely delicious. We went twice, once for dinner and once for lunch, and Diego served us both times. Pura vida brother and thanks so much for getting our lunch out quickly so we could catch our shuttle in time! We had the tuna margarita (a MUST HAVE), the spring rolls, the tuna wrap (had this twice - get it seared), and the calamari fajitas. Everything was great but don’t miss the tuna, it is unbelievable. Don’t forget to try a chile Guaro shot if you haven’t already!

There is nothing else to compare in Quepos to this local favorite..first, all 10 employees chefs, cooks, servers, bartenders seems to enjoy themself to create their signature dishes and many local classics..they are like one big family who pride themselves to make your meal a lasting experience!! And they are successful, visiting this single location restaurant reapetedly in the last 10 years or so I'm yet to see someone who wasn't thrilled with the experience. So reasonably priced that is almost misleading..cleanliness and freshness is very obvious..once you visit this place, you WILL be returning!! The daytime view is magnificent even for Costa Rican standards and after the sunset you can indulge in the view of the great dishes..

The food was phenomenal! We had the bbq chicken burger, the tuna tostadas, and the Costa Rican snapper and all were delicious and juicy. The hot sauce IS really good, just like the reviews had mentioned. Went there today, on a Saturday, around 4pm and we found free parking and a table quickly. Bathroom access on the first floor. The fruit drinks are also tasty and you can mix with two flavors. My husband tried the passionfruit with mango and I had the pineapple and both we would recommend. 10/10 service and food. Would definitely come again. We had gone to the public beach and didn’t have to have park access to come to this restaurant. The view speaks for itself. Beautiful atmosphere and food.

The only thing that beats the view are the LARGE sized DELICIOUS portions. Come hungry or come planning to share! Smaller sized cantina and was distanced properly (during COVID-19) even though it is an open air covered restaurant. Menu had something for everyone(including fussy Americans) servers were very friendly and attentive and spoke incredible english(if you don't speak spanish) my only upset about this place is that I found it the night before we left! As I checked in friends of mind who had previously been to Costa Rica told me they love it as well(would have told me sooner but I kept trip a secret until the end)

This restaurant has a great location, great views, and wonderful staff. Unfortunately for me, that’s where it ended. I was extremely underwhelmed by the food. This place is quite busy and even during rainy season it is always full of people. I decided to try it out since I saw that there were constantly people going in and out and it had great reviews. I ordered the Costa Rican Snapper and the Guaro Sour cocktail made with Costa Rican alcohol. The drink was decent. The snapper and the sides were lacking flavor and were dry. The prices were good - about $32,000 colones ($51 USD) for two meals and three cocktails.
