Amazing company/tour/and guides!!
We opted for the 1/2 day Naranjo River tour and were completely surprised by how adrenaline filled and worthwhile it was. Our guide, Gregory (blue shirt in the back in the pictures), was really a master of his craft - keeping us moving quick while being energetic and encouraging. Dylan and Andres were very helpful as well - Dylan even airdropped photos/video afterwards. While I had never even been rafting, Gregory providing us with simple commands and easy maneuvers before we got in helped make this feel safe and relatively controlled. Fully bilingual staff as well!
As far as scenery goes, the river is pristine. Nestled in the jungle, with views of palm oil fields and teeming with wildlife. During the calmer times we were able to spot Pygmy Kingfishers, white Ibises, white herons, vultures, cormorants, yellow-chested flycatchers, and hummingbirds.
Their office was easy to find, as they sent us a Waze-Maps link with its exact location. Very close to Manuel Antonio, Naranjito, and Londres. Reasonable drive from Quepos area too. Road conditions are fine leading all the way to their office.
These guys seem like they’re a newer and smaller company, and are competing with some larger rafting businesses. That being said, this tour IS the competition. So thankful that we booked them, honestly just by chance. Choosing to book with them means you get a private raft tour, shuttle from your stay/to the atm, breakfast stop, fresh fruit, and full bilingual service. Other tours looked packed with people all in a bus, having to raft with strangers etc: but ours was a van with plenty of room, and our trio all got to ride on the same raft. They also provided reinforced life jackets, helmets, and photos. Gregory and Dylan are also great company, being very personable and helpful.
Can’t thank you guys enough for the tour! Keep up...
Read moreExcellent company to raft with. Romain is one of the best rafting guides! Experienced guide with clear instructions. Would definitely raft with him again.
Savegre was beautiful to raft but pretty mild when we went. 5-6 hour excursion but less than 2 hrs on the water rafting. Mostly level 2, definitely family-friendly. Would recommend a river with more consistent level 3-4 features for adventure rafting. Talk to the company before booking to find the right river for your level.
Cash-only final payment so come prepared for that.
We practiced exiting, floating, and entering the raft in a calmer area of the river. This is a valuable skill/experience; however, be very careful exiting and entering the raft or you’ll get some bumps and bruises from rocks in shallow areas and watch out for oars on your way back in to the raft.
We had the option for one person to join the safety rafter in the other boat but it wasn’t as fun so I recommend staying with the group in...
Read moreWe had a white water rafting planned. We booked through the Manuel Antonio site. They claimed the credit card machine was down when we got there. They directed us to pay by cash or PayPal. When we declined, they offered to drive me to a credit card machine. Didn’t feel I should have to be driven to some shady place to pay by card. We also booked a horseback riding tour through Manuel Antonio company. They changed our plans the day before. We decided to go with another company. They didn’t respond when a refund for the deposit was requested. Would recommend Vista Los Sueños company for all your activities. They seemed much more professional. No...
