Read moreAbbey Approved recently dined at Quepoa, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish! I ordered the classic wings with honey mustard on the side, and they were perfectly crispy on the outside and tender inside—so filling and delicious. Honey mustard was a hit! We also shared a large order of fries, which was more than enough for a group of four. My partner had the Quepoa Burger with fries, and let me just say, it was packed with flavor and so huge! The burger was juicy and incredibly satisfying.
For drinks, I went with the Monkey Business, an alcoholic milkshake-like treat that was sweet and indulgent. My boyfriend’s choice, a passion fruit mojito with a tajín-rimmed glass, was zesty and refreshing—definitely a hit.
Our waiter, Taylor, was amazing. He was not only attentive but went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. All the employees are bilingual when it comes to Spanish and English making it very easy for visitors to know exactly what they are getting! After our meal, we relaxed by the fire and had the best shots: Miguelitos and Chiliguaro, which tasted like a delightful coconut-pineapple mix. Smoothest shot of my life! Such a sweet and memorable way to end the night!
The atmosphere is perfect for both dates and group outings. We were lucky enough to watch a thunderstorm rolling over the ocean, and the view was stunning both day and night.
Overall, Quepoa is a 10/10. Abbey Approved will definitely be dining here again!...

Wife got buffalo wings and fries (she doesn’t eat fish) with several sauces. Couldn’t finish the fries there were so many. The fish and shrimp were amazing! Wife loved her wings too. The owner and staff were amazingly attentive but not overbearing. We offered to give up our table because it was getting crowded (we came early for the game) and he told us no, he would make some room, which he did. Best food we’ve had in Manuel Antonio and by far one of the best experiences at a restaurant, even though Texas lost. BTW, they spoke very good English as there was a large mix of Americans and locals. Post script: the following day the wife and I were walking down the street and a gentlemen said hello to us (we were paying more attention to the drivers on the road). He reached out his hand to say “hello, it’s me from the restaurant last night.” It was the owner/manager in a parking lot we crossed. With so many people at his place he’d remembered us despite leaving at halftime. His place had a lot of sports memorabilia, which had me wondering if he was a professional athlete. Runs a helleva ...
