I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Pico Bistro Tamarindo and being served by the incredible waiter, Steven (If I heard him saying it correctly), during my recent visit. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of exceptional.
Steven's attentive and friendly service truly elevated my dining experience. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, and his recommendation of the ceviche as a dish was spot on. Steven's drink recommendation also hit the mark. The drink he suggested perfectly complemented the ceviche, enhancing the overall dining experience.
What stood out even more was Steven's incredible honesty and integrity. I accidentally left my cell phone on the table and left the restaurant. Steven came running to return it to me. His quick thinking and genuine concern for his customers' belongings showcased his dedication to providing top-notch service.
In addition to the food and drink recommendations, Steven's warm demeanor and genuine hospitality made me feel like a valued guest. His attention to detail, proactive service, and friendly attitude created a memorable dining experience that I won't soon forget. Thank you, Steven, for making my evening truly...
Read moreWe come here all the time when we are in Tamarindo and we have been to Tamarindo 8 times for vacation. Yesterday on New Year’s Eve we tried to go here for lunch at 2:15pm and even though they had tables open outside and inside, they told us the kitchen was closed and that they couldn’t serve us. We were understanding because it was very busy for New Year’s Eve everywhere in Tamarindo. But today on New Year’s Day we came back again for lunch at 12:45 and were again turned away even though we easily found an open table outside and we could see that people were eating and ordering food. The two waiters outside were also kind of rude and dismissive like we were causing them an issue. They told us they couldn’t serve us food, but if they did, the food could take over an hour and that they had kitchen issues. We also noticed there were lots of locals there and we are American so we wondered if they were showing preference to locals. It is NOT busy in Tamarindo at all today and there are no crowds like yesterday. We will not be back to Pico after the way we...
Read moreWe went here three times. We ate there only twice though… The third time we went after a very long day just to order a volcano chocolate cake. The server said it would take 10 to 15 minutes. 25 minutes later we asked another server (because we couldn’t see our server anywhere) - we informed him we had ordered 25 minutes previously and asked how much longer it would be. He said the first server informed us incorrectly and that it takes 15 to 16 minutes for the cake to come out. We reminded him that it had been 25 minutes. He checked and came back and said it would be another five minutes. We set a timer and when it went off and the cake had not been delivered to our table, we simply walked out. What a waste of time. Normally I wouldn’t care but it had been a very long day and we were with our four-year-old daughter who was really looking forward to eating that cake. It was a very...
