Soda Buen Comer — Restaurant in Tamarindo

A pretty serious letdown. We noticed a woman with a large plate of tasty rice upon arrival and opted to give it a try. The server was unfriendly and pretty bothered by us asking what was good. When we asked for the chicken rice she later came back and said they were out. We changed to a burger and waited amongst the buzzing flies. When he food arrived it was small portions, and the burger was over-cooked on a super dry bun. The kids chicken tenders were way over cooked and barely edible.We walked away spending close to $50 for 3 plates of poor...

This place is the best ! The server was awesome and tried his best to understand our English. The food is DELICIOUS and its not expensive like the other money grabbing restaurants in Tamarindo. We ate here 5 times in the week we spent in Tamarindo and every meal was on point ! Don't waste your time at the expensive Americanized restaurants and come here for some amazing cheap local food. You will not be disappointed! And order the lobster, it was the best lobster we had the entire trip and...

They do NOT have all day lunch.

The waitress straight up lied to us lol and they sit there on the phones even if you go up to the counter clearly wanting something.

They didn't have an ingredient of the plate we ordered and they didn't give us anything to replace it nor discounted the price a bit to account for that. The salchichón was overcooked (tieso y malo) and not good. The pinto was just ok, it's made with red beans here (at least when we went, some places change it...
