I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bistro La Bearnesa (El Fígaro), located at Aguiar 18 in Cuba, and I must say it was a truly remarkable culinary experience. From the charming ambiance to the delightful flavors, this restaurant left an indelible impression.
The menu at Bistro La Bearnesa is a treasure trove of delectable dishes, but there were two standout items that deserve special mention. First, the octopus was an absolute revelation. Tender, succulent, and perfectly seasoned, it was a culinary masterpiece that delighted my taste buds.
Additionally, the coffee-flavored lobster was a true highlight. This innovative twist on a classic seafood dish brought together the richness of coffee and the delicate sweetness of lobster in a harmonious symphony of flavors. It was a dish that pushed boundaries and rewarded with each delightful bite.
Beyond the outstanding food, the service at Bistro La Bearnesa was exemplary. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, offering recommendations and ensuring that every need was met. The charming atmosphere added to the overall dining experience, with its elegant decor and warm ambiance.
Whether you're a local resident or a traveler exploring the culinary scene in Cuba, Bistro La Bearnesa (El Fígaro) at Aguiar 18 is a must-visit destination. Be sure to indulge in the unforgettable octopus and the remarkable coffee-flavored lobster, as they are true gems that will leave a lasting impression on your palate.

Both spaces are really recommended. Check pictures for you to have an idea (they are only from the 2nd...

Great service, great prices on cocktails, and good prices for food. Not the best food, but it went down with a few cuba libres.
The pasta we ordered was served with some questionable parmesan that tasted really off, but we managed to scrape it to the side.
I would recommend this place for drinks and a few starters or something...
