Candle Light Resaturant — Restaurant in Girne Belediyesi

This was one of the tastiest meals we’ve had on our trip and was by far the most enjoyable dining experience. Very relaxed and casual. We were warmly greeted by the owner who patiently explained all the items on the menu and took the time to chat with us. His wife cooked the meal and it was fantastic! We ate the previous night at the so called number one rated restaurant by Trip Advisor and while it was good, this was far tastier and half the price! Would highly recommend. We shared a salad which was large and beautifully dressed, then my husband had the cheese ravioli dish and I had the chicken stew. The food was great but what was truly amazing was the owners generosity and hospitality! I went here with my partner and daughter after we had an airbnb disaster and were looking for a place to stay for tonight. The owner saw the whole ordeal unfold (Airbnb cancellations, booking a new one). When we were finished, he INSISTED on driving us to our next place so we didn't have to walk with all of our bags. He knew us for 30 minutes and went out of our way to help us. Such a kind gesture to someone he just met - will definitely come back again.

Our visit to the Candle Light Restaurant was great. We were met with a warm welcome from the host, wife, and staff. I had the meat stew and my wife had chicken stew. There was a lovely salad and fantastic tasting chips to accompany the stews. Also flat bread and olive oil balsamic vinegar and herb dip.of course we had an ice cold beer too. The Candle Light is tucked away off the main highway and is well worth the effort of finding. Alas we return home Tomorrow so won’t be able to revisit this tour.
