Marzano — Restaurant in Larnaca

Attended here to celebrate a friends birthday . I ordered Lamb Shank priced at é24 as the waiter approached the table he knocked the very small lamb shank over causing sauce and and puree potato to splash over the plate and then just dropped it down in front of me. I was not impressed by his actions and I even debated whether to eat the meal. I was not drinking alcohol and asked for a bottle of water, when the waitress brought this to the table I had to almost wrestle the bottle from her in order for me to be able to refill my glass when I wanted to. So as not to embarress or offend my host I ate the meal, when the plate was cleared I made my feeling known to the same waiter and he laughed. No apology was forthcoming and I told him I was not impressed by this and advised him I certainly would not be eating there again. Below average and overpriced meal and conduct of waiting staff not up to the standard of a greasy spoon cafe...... Fantastic meal!!! Love this restaurant. Great tasting and well seasoned food. Some restaurants in Cyprus use too much salt... Pasta perfectly cooked with fresh tasting ingredients and generous portions.

The atmosphere in the restaurant is very pleasant. No loud music etc. Simply a pleasant dining experience. Everything is clean and minimalistic. The tables don't feel squashed together like in some places.

This is my second visit to Marzano. The staff are attentive and professional and eager to provide a quality service. I had no problem getting a reservation. Sama remembered me from my visit two months ago. Veronica looked after us this evening. All the staff look happy which makes the whole experience that much more enjoyable.

The Panna Cotta was delicious 🤤 Whether you choose Forest Fruits or Cinnamon and Honey you won't be disappointed!

Marzano was very accommodating. We are vegan and gluten free. They have gluten free options on the menu plus a separate fasting menu.

We ordered from the lunch menu which was €13.99 for a starter, main and soft drink. We chose the beet and goats cheese salad and they removed the goats cheese for us. Then the La Reine pizza with fasting cheese and no ham.

Because we chose the gluten free options it wasn't possible to add extra ingredients to replace others to be sure it was safe, even though we said we didn't mind cross contamination due to not being coeliac. We would have liked more veg on the pizza but cannot fault them for being extra careful for those who NEED it to be free of cross contamination.
