Great beach. Awful sand. Amazing sea (very shallow and clean, no rocks, no seashells, no algae). Comfortable seabeds. You can pay everything by card. The umbrellas are a bit too small but they cover 2 people well. Please come with patience. The tourists are horrible. More on that later. €7.5 for 2 seabeds and an umbrella. Best to get them as early as possible as it is crowded. Free toilets are available and the cleanest I have witnessed so far. They have changing rooms and the showers cost 50 cents. There is a bar close by with a €4 euro pint of draught beer or €2.50 fridge canned beer. They also have fast food like sandwiches/pizza. The staff is great. The guy handling the situation with a blue t-shirt is very empathetic. Look for the guy with a shallow beard. Great guy. He did his best to find us seabeds and he was amazing. He speaks great B1 English. Please don't expect the best tourists. I have seen the worst of humanity. The reason the sand is dirty is because of people. They have thrown pistachio shells or cigarette butts randomly. The staff does everything they can though. I really appreciated the staff stopped a group of guys playing music on their Bluetooth speaker. I loved the silence and the sound of the sea overall. Great beach. I will come again with a high level of tolerance towards...

Read moreIf you’re after easy access to restaurants, shops, and cafés right on the sand, Finikoudes ticks all the boxes. It’s perfect for families who want lifeguards, shallow water, and everything within walking distance.
But… it’s not the prettiest beach in Cyprus. The sand is more grey than golden, the water often looks murky, and you can’t see the bottom. Compared to the crystal-clear turquoise waters you’ll find just 30–40 minutes away in Ayia Napa, it feels underwhelming.
Pros: • Steps from restaurants, shops, and playgrounds • Calm, shallow water – safe for children • Lifeguards and plenty of facilities
Cons: • Water can look dirty/murky • Sand isn’t as soft or golden as other Cyprus beaches • Crowded in summer evenings
Verdict: Go here for convenience and a stress-free day with little ones. But if you can manage a short drive, the beaches in Ayia Napa are much nicer and...
