Edesma Cyprus Taverna - Souvlaki Place — Restaurant in Larnaca

Usually not the type of person to write reviews, but this time I couldn’t resist. Our family of 5 people had an absolutely fantastic experience at Edesma. Not only was the food incredible, but the service was top-notch. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and attended to every detail. The generosity and hospitality were truly remarkable. As we had just completed our order, they surprised us with a complimentary main course of grilled vegetables along with various sauces. To be frank that really was quite unexpected, but very heartwarming to hear “it’s on the house”. Then our orders arrived one by one. We had gyroses, grilled shrimps and a greek village salad. Each dish was literally Michelin level delicious. Then! Round two of surprise treats was greek grape vodka, which was absolute fire. And as we had just asked for our bill ready to pay and leave, the waiter was now back with yet another treat on the house: plate of DELICIOUS fruits (particularly watermelon, melon and dragonfruit). Obviously won’t invent a bicycle if I tell you how tasty the fruits were. Worth mentioning that the prices also seemed to be lower than in other similar places located at the centre of Larnaca. Overall, I would genuinely like to thank the owner of this place for their true commitment to making Edesma a literal gem in terms of its service and quality. This restaurant's dedication to providing such high quality service, along with their amazing food, generous gestures, and hospitality, make it truly stand out. Special thanks to our waiter for such a kind and positive attitude, as well as for his humorous nature! That really added up to the amazing atmosphere of the restaurant. I had such a fantastic experience at Edesma Cyprus Taverna – Souvlaki Place. The food here is absolutely delicious, full of flavor, and really feels like a true taste of Cyprus. The taverna itself has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer and enjoy every bite.

What really stood out to me though was the service. Everyone here is so friendly and makes you feel at home. Toni, my waiter from Bulgaria, was amazing – very kind, attentive, and always with a big smile. He really made me feel welcome and made sure everything was perfect throughout my visit. Themis is also such a wonderful waiter, full of positive energy and always ready to help with a cheerful attitude. It’s rare to find such a team of people who genuinely enjoy what they do and care so much about their guests.

This place is more than just great food – it’s the people who make it special. Thank you Toni, Themis, and the whole team for such a lovely experience. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this taverna to anyone looking for delicious food and...

We went on a one week vacation in Cyprus and the day of arrival we went to eat something at this Taverna that was very close to our accommodation. We came back to eat there almost every day and we tasted something different from their menu every time. Try the chicken legs (we discovered them in a Meze dish but i suppose you can just order them separately) they are deliciously soft and perfectly marinated, they almost melt in your mouth as you eat them. The kleftiko is delicious as well, slow cooked lamb with potatoes baked with spices, also the baklava is the best i ever tasted ... and so many more goodies ...we were never disappointed, it was always delicious. It is a place that has a soul :) a very good soul and they love to make food as much we love to eat it :) One advice for you: leave the diet at home when you come here. The portions are generous and incredibly tasty....
