Weird experience with the managers. I called in advance to preorder and was told i can't and that i need to come in sit and order, so i asked for takeaway. When i went in and the food wasn't quite ready i asked if we could sit in to dine they said no, so i asked if we could at least sit outside where the smokers tables are, they still said no. We asked what's the reason and they gave a strange explanation about the fries, that people who dine in have fries included and 1 out of the 2 burgers we ordered had no fries. And people would feel jealous or they'll say it's unfair that our order came with no fries (which was the weirdest thing I've ever heard) We asked if we could pay extra for the dine in service, they still said no. We liked the atmosphere of the place and wanted to sit down and enjoy the meal with drinks which would have been even more profitable for them but we didn't even get the chance to sit down.
The cooks are extremely hard working and the waiters/waitresses were so sweet and welcoming. It was only the dark-short-haired lady at the till and the curly hair gentleman that had an issue. The curly haired manager even called a waiter to explain to us what's the issue in greek (we were speaking Greek the whole time). It was extremely condescending behaviour to call a waiter and talk to him in Greek while he was speaking to me in greek, to tell him to explain this bizarre situation with the fries and the way they serve dine-ins. That was the boiling point for me, i just wanted to leave.
It was giving either corporate is being unreasonable, or I'm micromanaging everything here. It was an extremely uncomfortable situation so my friend said okay lets get our order and leave (bc there's no point in pursuing this). It was extremely unprofessional and rude on behalf of those 2 employees.
Anyhow the food is alright, nice brioche buns, fresh veggies although the burger patties are all just frozen so not the nicest meat. Would recommend this instead...
Read moreI came to Big Bad Wolf in Larnaca late in the evening, tired and hungry after a full day of work, hoping for a proper, warm meal. Unfortunately, the experience turned out to be a huge disappointment.
At first, I wanted to order a Caesar salad, but was told I couldn't substitute the chicken — which made absolutely no sense, considering how standard that is in most places. So I had to settle for something else and ordered the Gyros Yiaourtlou — chicken gyros with yogurt and tomato sauce.
It looked promising — a good piece of meat (chicken leg, rotating on the spit), but that’s where the positives ended.
The meat was inconsistently cooked — some pieces were soft and tender, but others were extremely tough and dry, as if they’d been sitting for hours. To make things worse, the dish was excessively salty, completely overpowering any flavor. The portion came with just a few slices of onion, and a bottled Lipton iced tea.
Total cost: €18.
What’s most frustrating is that the gyros was made from a chicken leg — which should have made it rich, tender, and flavorful. They had a great cut of meat and still managed to ruin it — with over-seasoning and uneven texture. A missed opportunity for something truly good.
In addition: – I had to wait over 10 minutes just to place my order, because only one staff member was handling the entire shop — both the counter and the dining area. – When I politely asked to swap the breaded chicken for the fresh gyros meat already cooking, I was told:
“The manager doesn’t allow any modifications.”
No flexibility. No effort. No customer care.
In the end: – The food was oversalted and uneven – The service was slow and rigid – The price was not justified
I won’t be returning. And I wouldn’t recommend it — especially to anyone looking for a real, honest meal...
Read moreIf anything, you can only say good things about the appearance of the store.
The food itself shouldn't really be called food, because that would be an insult to all the other food out there. 😖
The burgers are basically just frozen spam, and they look nothing like real burgers. The taste deserves the idea of all those good burgers you've eaten before. 🤮
The staff (not really friendly as hosts) at TBBW said their specialty burger of the house "tbbw burger" is just a cheeseburger with bacon. 🤯 (Still, the price is quite high, in this price range you can find some really good handmade burgers in Larnaca. 💯)
The salad is borderline and the children's menu based on "Happy Meal" is a cheap imitation of the original and that makes the children sad rather than happy. 😔
Luckily there are original drinks that are not produced by this place and help to somehow wash all this stuff down. 🙏
So it's a big disappointment to dine in this place like you're flushing your money down the toilet, at least that's how it feels at "The Big Bad Wolf", I think the name of the place reflects the owner's perception of his guests! 🤔
By far one of the worst restaurant visits me and my family have...
