Megaro Restaurant — Restaurant in Limassol Municipality

Disappointed w the food and smell of the restaurant. We were hungry after touring Limassol’s tourist sites and chose Megaro due to its high reviews. Unfortunately, despite the overwhelming smell, we insisted of staying, but chose a table ourside. Prices are reasonable, the building is historically charming, pita bread and fries were excellent but that’s as good as it gets. The food took quite a while to be served despite being the only guests that ordered food(another table just had drinks. Octopus tentacles were dry & hard to chew. Crab,most likely blue crab,was deep fried w a light coatin of flour and salt. We felt like we needed some sauce to add flavor...

Would NOT recommend this place. We were attracted by the good looks of the restaurant and the menu. However, it did definitely not meet our expectations. We ordered meze but most of the dishes had no flavor, the salad dressing was very sour and most other dishes were way too fatty. Unfortunately the service could not make up for the bad food. It was a quiet evening, but we still had a lot of trouble getting attention of the waiter and they did not ask once if we needed anything or about our opinion...

We got here looking for authentic cyprus meze. It was delicious and a stunning amount of food - absolutely worth the price (18€ per person). We sadly couldn't eat it all, it was just so much food. But we tasted every single dish and each was so tasty. It was exactly what we needed after nearly 5 hours of sightseeing by foot. The host is nice and friendly and tries to explain every dish in english to his foreign guests. I wish we could have more time in Cyprus to also try...
