Price: 8/10 Melissa offers a dining experience that reflects its gourmet quality and attention to detail. While the prices are on the higher side and the location wasn't very attractive, the value you receive in terms of the culinary journey and ambiance makes it a worthwhile splurge for a special occasion or those looking to indulge in authentic Cypriot cuisine.

Food Quality:9/10 Melissa truly shines when it comes to the quality of its traditional Cypriot dishes. The flavors are a delightful exploration of the island's culinary heritage, with dishes like shieftalia or xaloumi standing out as prime examples of the chef's expertise. Each dish is thoughtfully prepared, showcasing a blend of herbs, spices, and cooking techniques that elevate the experience beyond ordinary dining.

Service:10/10 The attentive and knowledgeable staff at Melissa contribute significantly to the overall enjoyment of the meal. From the moment you step in, their warmth and hospitality make you feel like a valued guest. They are well-versed in the menu's offerings and are more than willing to provide insights into the cultural background of each dish. This personal touch adds depth to the dining experience, enhancing the connection between the food and the diner.

Overall Impression: 9/10 Melissa is a culinary haven for those seeking an authentic taste of traditional Cypriot cuisine. The restaurant's commitment to preserving and celebrating Cyprus's culinary heritage is evident in the exquisite presentation and bold flavors of each dish. While the prices might be higher, they are justified by the impeccable food quality, attentive service, and the immersive ambiance that transports you to the heart of Cyprus. Whether for a special occasion or a desire to explore new gastronomic horizons, Melissa delivers an overall impression that lingers long after the...

Melissa I think is a bit overrated. Don’t get me wrong it’s not bad and I would come back to give them another shot, but it’s not great.

Atmosphere was great, with the soft Greek background music and the cozy tables at Heroon Square. It was nice.

Service wise, they need to hire more staff, as the place was packed and for the money you pay, you expect better service “existing staff was amazing, but not enough”.

Food was mediocre. Dips were pre-prepared on their little dishes and as result the texture was not great. Saganaki was too honey dipped, you barely understood the saltiness of the cheese. Salad had a weird dressing and feta cheese was not feta cheese, but just a white cheese. Meats were just ok, apart of the chicken which was on the spot. Pistachio dessert was just ok also.

Don’t get me wrong, if a table for 3 was like 80€ I would say this place was amazing. But when it comes out 140€ I have higher expectations. It’s a value for money thing.

Overall it was ok. Might give it a shot in a couple of months to see if...

We saw several people talking about it online and thought we'd give it a go (even though we did read some reviews and weren't convinced). Food was very disappointing, sheftalia and kolokithokeftedes were badaly burnt, too much salt, kebab like rock, desserts not nice...Their bacon was good though. Service was not the best or most experienced either and had to ask for things 2-3 times.

Have to say the atmosphere there is very nice, very nice decor too and the location is complimented by a nice breeze!

We also found a bug in the salad (at the bottom) was clearly marinated with sauce so it was clearly there from preparation but still didn't admit that it was their fault and told us it came through the air as we were sitting outside. They didn't charge for the salad, brought us another free salad and did give us some sweets on the house, so I do give that to them.

But what stays with us is their very disappointing food. Make sure to carefully read reviews and don't believe the so called...

Loved the decoration and atmosphere. A small cozy place although it felt too crowded, there were about 10 tables that served around 30-35 persons. You couldnt even hear the music playing at the background which felt like an extra noise. Service needs work as there was only one waiter that could take orders, serve, bring tha bill etc. and therefore had to wait quite a long time everytime to order. Food was generally ok although nothing that special and a bit pricey. I mean, 3 euros for each tiny dip, 5 euros per lamb chop?🙄 Anyhow, fried courgette cakes were overcooked and tasteless. The greek salad felt quite different, maybe a sauce instead of oil and vinegar? Also, the cucumber wasnt fresh at all. Beef liver was delicious and is totally recommended. Pork & Chicken kebab were good too. The orange pie at the end wasnt fresh at all.

We did not really like the menu concept, neither the ordering experience because you basically order the food by piece. I hope this made sense…either way, it is not like the typical “mezes” you find in most of the Cypriot taverns-restaurants. However, the food was delicious! Every dish was freshly made, which I appreciate and value the most. We have played it pretty safe this time but I can’t wait to revisit the venue and try the other, not so ordinary, dishes they serve.

Nice outdoors sitting. The service was exceptional. They have a lot of choices to order. We have chosen about 10 different dishes and were pretty pleased with the quality. Very well cooked and an interesting approach on the traditional cypriot food. They have a nice balance of traditional and innovative food. I would recommend the pork chic with mushrooms and the halloumi wrapped in phyllo dough. Overall a very nice expirience and a good alternative to the cypriot tavern.
