KONA KAI — Restaurant in Nicosia

This used to be one of my favorite Chinese restaurants, especially for delivery. However, their prices have now inflated, though that seems to be the case for all restaurants. The main issue is that my last two orders were disappointing. In the first order, the pepper wasn't ground, so I ended up chewing on whole peppercorns, making the dish inedible. Additionally, the rice was way too salty—I’m almost certain that someone accidentally spilled too much salt and sent it out anyway.

The second order was actually yesterday. We received a small portion of noodles despite paying for a large one, but they did offer to replace it for free. The food was mediocre at best, and the rice was unevenly salted again, though not as bad as the first time. I'll give them 2 stars instead of 1 because they're one of the few Chinese restaurants that still offer free prawn crackers, which I appreciate. That said, I don’t think I’ll be ordering again until their food is back up...

Lobster scam: ordered a lobster, the waiter told me that the size of the lobster they had was the double of the menu size (1+kilos) and the price was almost the double. I said "OK" because anyway it was a good deal. Served a visibly "recycled" lobster shell with inside a minced lobster tail that was not even closest to 1 kg and visibly of a different size than the shell... the shell was dry and missing main parts. We asked to show us the real whole lobster but "unfortunately" that was the last one available. They should state that they are serving a "frozen lobster tail" garnished with a recycled...

We wanted so much to come back for a meal but had to wait for nearly a year. We were sooo disappointed with the Chinese food, they excused by saying problems with not having enough chefs but the food had changed so completely and full of papers, onion and mushrooms and no existence of any Chinese ingredients, bamboo shoots, bean sprouts, rice, nice noodles it was a mess and we left the restaurant very unhappy with poor after taste in our mouths that took 24 hours to clean.
