The restaurant with the worst service and the worst attitude that I have visited in my life. Today afternoon we visited Stoa tu Dimitri with my husband. After we waited 10 minutes at the door and all the waiters passed us by, I decided to go in and ask if there was a free table for two. I ran into a gentleman who literally kicked me out and told me that they didn't have a free table and everything was booked. (there were 7 free tables), I had checked on Google what time they close. The restaurant closed at 4:00 p.m., and the time was 2:50 p.m. Returning to the door and ready to leave, one of the girls had seated my husband at a table. I sat down and asked him if any of the staff told him to sit down and he pointed to one of the girls. We were seated at a dirty table and after trying to order several times without success, I again asked my husband to leave. He was hungry and insisted we stay. One of the girls told us to give them 5 minutes, another told a woman who was taking orders that we want to order too. She said she can't now. After another 5 minutes, a little girl came with the gentleman described above and they collected the dirty utensils from the previous people, banging and banging on the table (mainly the gentleman, not the child). He left and after he came and started scribbling some things on a sheet of paper and my husband asked him if they had any cooked food. He turned around and told us in the most cheeky way that he had told me this 30 minutes ago, but we were sitting on the table anyway. I explained to him that his colleague had accommodated us and if my husband had not insisted, I would have left the first time he kicked me out. The gentleman took the paper, patted my husband on the shoulder and told him that he was very sorry. I have never been treated so disgustingly. Rude and unprofessional person. The entire staff was running like crazy in the restaurant, throwing and banging plates, forks and knives on the table, they were literally like they were being tortured, not at work. Only one blonde woman who was just serving us apologized as she passed us like a fast train. Also, the girl who seated us at the table was kind, but stressed and kept repeating to give her 5 minutes. I don't understand how people can go eat in this type of restaurant and put up with all this. I'm just shocked and wonder how this...
Read moreVibe: Relaxed , Ambience: 4/5, Price:€€, Service: 5/5 Food: #valueformoney Menu changes daily. It always includes magireuta/ladera like spinach and okra which you can combine with slow cooked lamb or chicken depending on what’s on the menu of the day. Menu also includes some kind of fish on the grill or fried like calamari, seabream or even smelt. Salad is always fresh, pickles are tasty and tahini is one of the best I ever had. Overall: 4/5 Would definitely revisit. Stoa tou Dimitri is relaxed, the staff is friendly and it has a great selection for everyone. If you’re a vegan you can get the magireuta (I highly recommend the okra) with a salad, olives, pickles, bread and dips or a meat lover add the meat option of the day. It’s an old school kind of cooking that even your grandma would approve. At least my...
Read moreA wonderful tavern full of local food with a local atmosphere. The staff is super friendly and helpful although they have a lot of costumers and they’re running the whole time. Appetizers are a must. Even though Tzatziki is not the sane as greek one it’s cypriot style so don’t expect that, but it’s still tasty. Okra with lamb was so amazing, a new taste for me and tender. They bring some side dishes like pickles, fresh herbs, olives, tahini,… on their own which is a very nice act and also exquisite. They have 2 separate spaces for smokers or non smokers, which is very suitable for the ones who doesn’t want to be bothered by smoke, or the ones who want to smoke freely. I totally suggest the...
