Do you have a standard designated person answering the telephone line 22 25 26 26? Cause if you don't have a telephone operator ONLY answering the phone, that explains a lot. Every time I call to make a reservation, nobody is answering and certainly not calling back. And when they do answer, is too late to make a reservation since all tables are already booked. This is not the first time happening. This is happening every single time I call to make a reservation!!!
For the prices you have and the kind of services you offer, answering the telephone to clients is quite essential...!
I've been trying for two (2) days to talk to someone from Beba and make a reservation. After two days (including not calling back), finally someone answered the phone. The answer to my request for a table was simply "sorry, we don't have a table".
Of course you don't have! If you were answering the telephone on time (which by the way is connected to a cellphone), I would have a better chance to book a table. The answer from the lady answered the phone was "sorry, we don't have a table at the time you want, only 19.30 - 21.00". In few words, come on over, give us your money, but eat fast cause in one and a half hour we need to give the table to someone else so we can make more money. Very customer oriented and customer friendly... NOT!
I DON'T WANT TO EAT AT 19.30. I've been calling you for two days to make a reservation and if you were picking up the phone, I would have a better chance to get a table outside and eat with my guests at 21:00, not at 19:30!!!

First i would like to say that my visit was for Dinner with family. Now i'll give my detailed feedback about the positive and negative.
This restaurant is consider of the best in Nicosia. I had the same impression since i have visited again before and that is why we have decided to visit again.
The atmosphere and the over all decoration is nice that is why i give full star for this.
Service: Around 21:00 we sat and service offered water. Brought a plate with bread and olives. Menus placed on the table. After around 20 mins, when we have been asked if we were ready, we ordered some stuff, but we have been informed that a few plates have been finished. So we needed more time to check the menu again. With this & that our appetizes arrived after some time with our wine and our main dishes 1 hour later.
Till we paid and left, only 1 person offered to fill up our glasses, empty plates left on the table till the end (like the bread plate) etc.
Food: With a few words, too little, too expensive. With around 50+ euro per person, you expect something nice, not so ordinary. We were very disappointed by the quantities as well as the creativity.
IF i was in an ordinary local tavern and all the above happened, i wouldn't be so disappointed, but when you charge so expensive, i expect something different. you raise the standards high and expectations are becoming more.
At least, offer something when people finish their meals. A glass of limoncello, a small dessert.

Read moreΜπέμπα is hands down one of the best restaurants in Nicosia, if not in Cyprus. Service is impeccable, with staff being attentive, polite, and quick with sending the order to the kitchen. Drinks arrived within 3 minutes, and starters arrived within 5!
Dips are absolutely delicious, with the melintzanosalata and tyrokafteri being the fan favourites, served with fresh sourdough bread.
Tomato salad was well seasoned and very flavorful, and the pitta with cheese was absolutely divine - highly recommend ordering it as a starter.
The start of the show was my main - beef short rib with cream cheese and leek gnocchi. The meat was tender, melt-in-your-mouth goodness, bursting with flavour. I would have preferred to see this dish paired with mashed potatoes or a type of vegetable, but the gnocchi were a welcome element for this dish.
We finished off our meal with a MUST GET - the chocolate semifreddo. Words are not enough to describe how delicious this dessert is, so please try it for yourselves.
The owner(s) should be proud of what they have achieved with this restaurant. Thinking outside of the box and introducing twists to familiar classics, as well as keeping the menu fresh and interesting with every visit is what sets this...
