'Por El Mar' Beach Bar — Restaurant in Paralimni

Sunday early afternoon the music is so loud that over 100 meters away from the place, on the beach, you can’t have a decent conversation. When asking politely if they can turn it down a bit, as there are many families with young kids that would like to nap, the dj started threatening ‘you go ahead and turn the music down… but then you will see what happens to you.’ FYI, this guy was 55+. Came here today for a birthday lunch. Prices high for the area but don’t mind paying it if service and food are good. Neither was.

Service and communication was particularly poor.

Our food was cold when it finally arrived and the staff didn’t seem to care, blamed the long walk from the kitchen rather than just fixing it.

All in all a negative experience hence...

Visited on a Sunday night at 9pm, sat on comfy sofa’s, were told to pay €100 to sit there or move to a table, I would understand them charging that much if the bar was busy but as it wasn’t as it was a Sunday night, to make things worse after sitting at a table, people who arrived later were allowed to sit on same sofa’s with no...
