Extremely Disappointing Experience – Overpriced and Greasy
I rarely write negative reviews, but this place absolutely deserved it. The food was shockingly bad, especially considering the high prices. I ordered the fried calamari, and it was practically inedible – soaked in old, greasy oil, with more batter than actual calamari. It felt like they hadn't changed the frying oil in weeks.
Even the carafe of white wine was below average – flat and unpleasant, which is honestly surprising for a place that markets itself as a higher-end restaurant. It's hard to mess up a simple house wine, but somehow they managed to do just that.
Overall, the quality of the food was far from what you'd expect for the price point. I left feeling disappointed, slightly sick, and completely ripped off. Definitely would not recommend.
What makes it even worse is that just a 5-minute drive from this place, you can find authentic, fresh Greek cuisine served with warmth and genuine hospitality. Every dish there is absolutely delicious – and all that for half the price of this...
Read moreWe chose to visit the restaurant for a dinner based on the good reviews online. We are a family of 4 - 2 x adults and 2 x young kids. The food was nice enough, felt good quality but prices are quite steep for what you get. My youngest chose a pizza (which was 12 euros) and it wasn't a great pizza. The base was not crispy, it was soggy and white-ish dough. I had the mussels and for 20 euros there weren't many on my plate. Only the salad was a definite value for money - plenty of variety of veg and leaves plus feta on top. My husband chose garlic prawns but they were still served in shells with the sauce over it, so it ended up being a rather messy operation to get them unshelled with the sauce plus having no finger dipping bowl in sight, it made the eating experience rather messy. Overall, it was ok to visit, I did not enjoy the smoking around the tables but that's just...
Read moreWe found this little gem, which is tucked away off the main strip a week into our 2 week stay. The service is amazing, and the food and ambience more in keeping with what you'd expect from a local taverna.
Great relaxed, unrushed vibe.
The food is definitely a notch above everything on the main strip. Freshly cooked and delicious. Nice portion sizes, lovely huge chips.
We were served an extra bowl of salad with feta at no charge. Best tasting meal we have experienced so far.
The house red is delicious and smooth unlike some of the vinegar we've been served elsewhere and the wife's pina colada was the best she has had so far.
We will definitely visit again during our stay.
Thank you to the amazing staff for a proper Cypriot experience. This takes you back to how things used to be 20+ years ago before it all got a bit...
