These stars are for our server, Natalie. She was lovely and attentive. My maitai had grenadine and one type of rum, not orgeat and dark rum and white rum. The salt and pepper shakers wouldn't dispense because of a buildup of gunk - we perforated the openings back open with provided toothpicks. There were used, crumpled-up napkins on our table, although we were offered to choose where we wanted to sit. I can understand if the napkins were missed. The seabass tasted of ammonia, and right before this was served, we had ordered the shrimp cocktail. You'd imagine plump shrimp served with a cocktail sauce, right? This dish consisted of those tiny instant ramen-like shrimp that was covered in mayonnaise and served in a SHELL. The shrimp weren't even defrosted all the way. Our entrees were served with a side of soggy, obviously frozen vegetable medley, (why is everything frozen?), and we got a waterlogged bite of shrimp with a flaky, ice-burn crunch. We sent it back immediately and were still charged for it, although we did ask for it to be removed from our bill and it eventually was. Natalie was fantastic and friendly, but I'm just bummed that the best part of our meal was my jacket potato and her french fries (with gravy at the suggestion of Natalie, thanks). I understand that the location is prime, but the integrity of what is coming out of the kitchen is...
Read moreWe ordered drinks, then waited for some 10 minutes to order food. While we waited to make an order, we saw the waiter getting something from my wife's glass of juice with his fingers. And then the fun part started. Only 40 minutes later the first child finally got her pasta with cheese from the kids menu, which was disgusting, and she refused to eat it. The second kid was just sitting and waiting for his pizza. He got it 20 minutes later after I said that we are paying for the drinks and leaving. Then an aggressive owner came and said that it's normal to wait for an hour and refused to give a bill for the drinks only. We got our seabreams another 10 minutes later. Strongly recommend to avoid this place.
Update: they lie in the reply. There were only about 2 tables with guests apart from us, the restaurant was empty. The waiter told us that the order just wasn't sent to the kitchen. But the owner didn't admit it. He also said that the kitchen didn't know that the pizza was for the second kid, that's why it took an hour to bring it. I didn't get if I should tell them about it or the waiter. Just an ordinary "sorry" would work better than trying to avoid admitting your miskates in all possible ways. And yes, they actually did say that it's ok to cook fish for an hour and they don't understand why I expected a faster service. They lied again....
Read moreWe visited this lovely restaurant on our last night in Coral Bay and it was a fantastic experience. We both wanted to try a traditional Cypriot dish so we shared a Lekanto meze. We were also going to order a starter each, but the waitress advised us against this due to the size of the meze. I like my food and was maybe a little sceptical, but she was 100% correct. The meal was huge and everything was really tasty and well cooked. We started with traditional dips, salad and pitta then had a further three courses of various meats and other typical Cyprus foods. It was amazing. My only regret is that I didn't starve myself before going for the meal. My wife and I both commented that we couldn't believe how such a meal could be sold for 20 Euros a person. It was such a great experience and the location and atmosphere in the restaurant was great, chilled and not at all hurried.
A special mention has to be made for the two waitresses too who both worked really hard all evening and were still helpful and friendly.
There is a lot of choice on the strip in Coral Bay and I would highly recommend giving...
