Decided on drinks after looking at menu, when received the bill when we had finished, the prices were diffrent to what the menu said by 50%, i queried with waitress, who went away and returned saying "the price on the till is more than on the menu, and manager says i have to pay the till price" i was also told " management are aware the prices on menu are lower than on the till, but they refuse to change the menu pricing" the difrence is 50% higher than states on menu. Luckily it was just 2 of us and not a group of family and friends. This is a very bad policy, esp. As management are aware, and intentionaly misleading customers to extort money, this is not a good way to build a business. We live in the village a number of months during winter season but needless to say we will not be returning, or recomending to family and friends in the area. Thank you for your reply, its good of you to take the time. After reading your other replies to customer comments, it was as expected, devensive, abrasive, and arrogant at best, however, to think i came along to your venue, sat at a table, and picked up a drinks menu from another establishment is utter nonsence, your cocktail menu clearly states cocktails at 4.50e, and your waitress is fully aware, as i pointed it out to her when i received my bill and checked it for the prices, your waitress mentioned this has happened before and "you" are fully aware as owner, as its been brought to your attention more than once. If I, wanted to save 2euro, i would have paid the accurate amount, not the inflated amount, as shown on the bill, indedd i also left a tip, as, Priceing is not down to the staff, its the responsibility of the owner.

The above have nothing to do with the issue at hand, and things i have not mentioned.

Read moreMaybe unfair this but judging off the one visit it is little more than average. Firstly it is a nice place, spotless, smart, modern. I didn't eat just had a beer, the beer was very good, well kept and cold, actually about the best I've had this week. My issue is primarily its location, or its situation more accurately; it just sits in a perma-shade and never seems to get any sun. "Ouch, that is a bit harsh, they can't help the sun they get..." I hear you cry, and no thst is a fair criticism of my review, but that is my experience. Secondly, the service was luke warm. I don't like reviewing staff coz you don't know what sort of day they are having, but there was a definite local v stranger imbalance in the degree of interaction. And again, the place seems popular, and there is probably a raleighing round of regulars to their defence, which is fine, but only would maybe serve to prove my point.
I guess that if you want a great beer, quietly, out of the sun then read this review as 5/5.. if not it is between 3 and 4.
