Ich war während meines letzten Urlaubs in Tschechien in diesem kleinen Restaurant. Es wurde uns von Einheimischen empfohlen, die wir spontan auf der Straße angesprochen haben. Das Restaurant war zu dieser Zeit gut besucht, was für uns einen guten Eindruck machte. Wir entschieden uns, Platz zu nehmen, und bekamen trotz fast vollständiger Auslastung sofort einen Tisch.

Wenn ich das Restaurant oder die Art der Einrichtung mit etwas aus Deutschland vergleichen müsste, wäre es wahrscheinlich so etwas wie ein rustikaler Stadel – dunkel und altmodisch eingerichtet, was aber sehr gut zum Essen und zum allgemeinen Flair gepasst hat.

Leider war die komplette Speisekarte nur auf Tschechisch, was aber dank Google Übersetzer kein großes Problem war. Was mir persönlich auffiel: Es gab keinerlei Salat oder Gemüse – auch auf Nachfrage nicht.

Wir entschieden uns für Gulasch mit Knödeln und eine Art Braten mit Knödeln. Nach nicht einmal fünf Minuten hatten wir beide Gerichte auf dem Tisch. Die Portionen waren nicht riesig, aber ausreichend, um satt zu werden. Geschmacklich war alles top und wirkte hausgemacht.

Wir waren etwas überrascht über die kurze Wartezeit und dachten zunächst, es könnte sich um Fertigprodukte handeln. Wahrscheinlich war jedoch vieles bereits vorbereitet. Mein Gulaschfleisch war noch leicht rosa und extrem zart. Die Knödel trafen nicht ganz meinen persönlichen Geschmack, da sie mehr wie sehr weiches Brot waren – das ist jedoch reine Geschmackssache und kein Fehler des Restaurants.

Der Braten war ebenfalls sehr gut, und die dazu gereichten Knödel schmeckten uns in dieser Variante sogar besser. Als wir am Ende die Rechnung betrachteten, stellten wir fest, dass das komplette Essen nur wenige Euro kostete – zu deutschen Verhältnissen also extrem günstig.

Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und konnte gut Englisch, sodass die Kommunikation problemlos verlief. Fazit: Ein absolut empfehlenswertes Restaurant, in das wir jederzeit wieder einkehren würden.

During my last holiday in the Czech Republic, I visited this small restaurant. It was recommended to us by some locals we had spontaneously approached on the street. At the time, the restaurant was quite busy, which gave us a good impression. We decided to take a seat and were given a table immediately, despite it being almost fully booked.

If I had to compare the restaurant and its style to something familiar in Germany, I’d say it’s like a rustic barn – dark and traditional in style, which matched the food and overall atmosphere perfectly.

Unfortunately, the entire menu was only in Czech, but thanks to Google Translate, this was not a big problem. One thing I noticed: there was no salad or vegetables available – even when we asked for it.

We ordered goulash with dumplings and a type of roast with dumplings. In less than five minutes, both dishes were served. The portions were not huge but definitely enough to be filling. In terms of taste, everything was excellent and seemed homemade.

We were a bit surprised at how quickly the food arrived, which made us wonder if it might be pre-made. However, it’s more likely that much of it had been prepared in advance. My goulash meat was still slightly pink and incredibly tender. The dumplings were not entirely to my taste, as they were more like very soft bread – but that’s purely a matter of preference, not a flaw.

The roast was also very good, and we even preferred the dumplings served with it. When we checked the bill at the end, we realised the entire meal had only cost a few euros – extremely cheap compared to German prices.

The staff were very friendly and spoke good English, making communication easy. Conclusion: An absolutely recommendable restaurant that we would gladly...

We had a great experience at Kozlovna in Beroun. My husband had the special — beef flank. The steak was perfectly cooked to medium rare as requested, the sauce was rich and flavorful, and the croquettes were big and delicious. I had the turkey cutlets in parmesan breadcrumbs with a side of potatoes au gratin (as the mashed potatoes weren’t available). The cutlets were light and tender, and the gratin was nicely portioned and tasty. Service was prompt and courteous throughout. The only downside was realizing as we left that my coleslaw hadn’t been brought, which I would’ve liked — but overall, we were very happy...

Na první dojem celkem pěkná hospoda... Postupem času stráveným v tomto podniku se však začal příjemný pocit vytrácet. Opomenu-li, že místo zeleného čaje, který pan číšník nabízí dostanu čaj sice zelený, ale ochucený mangem a ananasem... Dobrá... Jako první si objednáme polévky. Zelňačku a vývar. Chuťově v pohodě, sice obě trochu slanější ale dobré. Jen s teplotou je to horší. Když řeknu, že byli vlažné, tak budu mírný. Mezi polévkami a hlavním chodem si místní personál odchází ven na vytouženou cigaretku, a upřímně, není moc věcí, které by byli tak nepříjemné jako když vás obsluhuje někdo, kdo smrdí cigaretovým kouřem. Když jsem na konci návštěvy viděl, jak si z kuchyně odcházejí zakouřit i kuchaři... Nic příjemného. Do toho se lokálem line zvuk sportovního přenosu, který si na telefonu pouští jeden z číšníků, rozčilujíc se, že má jít obsloužit někoho z hostů, “zrovna když jde střílet”.. Tipuji to tedy na biatlon? Personál se celkově svým telefonům věnuje opravdu intenzivně. Jako hlavní chod si objednáváme šípkovou s perníkovým knedlíkem a burger z trhaného kančího masa. Šípková omáčka byla dobrá, té bych nic vytýkat ani nemohl. Ale ten burger? To se nedalo jíst. Pochybuju o původu a kvalitě masa, ze kterého byl burger připraveny. Maso bylo opravdu strašný, po jeho ochutnání z manželčina talíře se mi zvedl žaludek. S velmi zvláštními pocity opouštíme hospodu s přesvědčením, že pokud ještě někdy budeme projíždět Berounem v čase oběda, vybereme si rozhodně...
