Chicago Bar & Grill — Restaurant in okres Liberec

I used to love this place when visiting and considered it a 4-star google-evaluation.. But now this place has lost it's touch unfortunately. I know we call this type of food fast-food, but the food that I ordered for my family and myself had been pre-made, that's how fast it came. I think it took about about a minute for all four of us to get the food. I never though I'd be unhappy with getting food quicker than quick to our table. But when it compromises the quality you are used to from a particular place like I was with this place, it's a negative thing. The chicken on the salad seemed microwave-heated and burgers used to taste like it was made with love, but not this time. The fried were still class, but that's about it. I used to to eat and order from this place on three to four occasions when visiting for a week. The waiter we got also seemed agitated when my family and I discussed what we were about to order and when asked if it was possible to modify the order. I might stop by again when visiting next time, I might, but that's definitely...

Perhaps the biggest letdown of my trip.

We pretty much visited the city for the sake of this restaurant and it's amazing reviews. After staggering 62 minutes of waiting we got served a soggy Burger, an extremely chewy "medium" steak as well as supposedly tasty barbeque ribs. If it wasn't for my friends ribs, the food alone deserved a 2 star rating, considering the fries that come with most dishes are mediocre at very best.

I do have to commend the Menu for it's Design, huge variety of dishes and cool features like the "beer flight", that at first sight made the restaurant seem like god's gift to earth, proving the reviews right. After finishing the main course all of us wished we had left after the starters though.

Despite the benefit of doubt and the consideration that we may have just ordered the wrong dishes, I believe this restaurant is just decent for locals in an area, which doesn't have many amazing restaurant places...

Alright alright…I must admit I am willing to take a bus from Prague and go to Liberec just to be able to have this burger again. For first few minutes of getting physical with my burger I was actually thinking that I died during our ascend to Jested and now I am in heaven. One of my friends said: “This is the best burger I’ve had in Czech Republic so far” and I agree. In comparison to well known burger spots in Prague this was just MORE in every aspect. Juicy, fresh, very well balanced flavors and ingredients. My Jalapeño burger was superb and contained not pickled but fresh jalapeños!!! All burgers are served with fries-the best fries I’ve ever had and very tasty coleslaw. The girl who took care of us was incredible and was able to communicate in English with my expat friends. If you’re in Liberec or nearby doing your hike come and reward yourself right in this restaurant. I promise this will become your GO TO place...
