Želivárna — Restaurant in Prague

Ok! I was there with baby few days back. Good modern spacious Interior as Czech traditional restaurant. Order starter and beer was good. When main course arrived it was big turn off because my girlfriend ordered Slovakian pasta something called halluski. They served with lots of fresh chill in the top as garnishes which mentioned at all in menu. grateful it will be spicy. Oki I try to take all the chilli because I like spicy but my girlfriend she is allergic to chilli but wouldn't enough because you can clean all that seeds which is sauce. She try to be nice and eat but she was almost crying because of spiciness. She left the food wait for me to finish at least my my meal but it was embarrassing for me as well. So we decided to tell waiter. She took plate with complaint and never come back. After we pay bills other waiter they didn't communicate with each other she bring bill with add dish which returned and when we explain situation to her she became so RUDE. went and check with her team and came back so furious and said my team said you almost finished the plate. It was so embarrassing when she said like this Instead of felling sorry we returned our meal so was like you need to pay otherwise I have pay. Because it's is system now. I am working with gastronomy 18 years. This excuse was EPIC. Very RUDE SERVICE WE WENT HOME WITH HUNGRY STOMACH AND SAD TO BE WITH...

This Restaurant must be the worst place in all the Czech Republic. The waitress wasn't politely at all . She first let us wait outside, Even there places inside. As we sat down I expected the menu, but nothing happened. I asked for it and she finished talking with her colleges turn to us and throw the menu's on the table. I told her not to be that rude, And she just Shaked her head and move away. After 5 min she came back asked us what we want. # of us ordered food, I wanted some more knowledge to some food. She just told it wasn't available any more. Next I aske for also was sold. After I asked what she had she pointed on the same menu as the others had ordered. The food wasn't good. Almost no taste and felt it wasn't fried enough. We finished eating and only wanted to get out. She stood and expected to be tipped. I went out. I was very angry so my wife took the bill to pay. I told my wife .. Don't you pay any tip here. The waitress was very angry with us and throw our payback money on the table as she loudly told how bad customers we were. Lucky her, my wife pulled me away.

Disappointing Service Despite Recommendations

During our recent stay in Prague, we visited this restaurant based on a recommendation from our hotel staff, hoping to enjoy a nice meal and drinks after arriving in the rain. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing.

Upon arrival, we encountered rude and unwelcoming service from the waiter. Normally, I would leave immediately when faced with this level of attitude, as I believe that courteous service is a basic expectation in hospitality. However, due to the rainy weather and being in the company of friends, we decided to stay briefly, ordering only a beer before leaving.

While I always try to give places the benefit of the doubt, rude service is simply unacceptable and leaves a lasting negative impression. Sadly, I cannot recommend this establishment based on...
