I would not recommend coming here on a relatively busy night. Granted it was Valentines Day, but we had a reservation for 8 PM and weren't sat at our table until 8:30 PM, and the environment was intensely stressful.

We were offered mandarin oranges as an apology for the long wait, but we did not want to eat mandarin oranges before our meal. A nice gesture, maybe, but it was lost on us since we didn't want to eat mandarin oranges. It could have been a free drink or anything else really, but the mandarins felt cheap and were off putting. I watched other guests express the same feelings.

About the dinner, we were sat down and made to order immediately without any explanation about the menu or how things work. The dining experience really warrants some explanation, as a hot pot style meal is not the typical dining experience for this part of the world, and especially given the prices.

Out of confusion, hunger, and apathy at this point we ordered the meat platter option and the seafood platter option with random broths. These platters are around 700 czk each and they recommend 1 platter per person, which felt excessive and expensive.

The meat was tasty, the seafood was still frozen, and the vegetables in both platters were bok choy, oyster mushrooms, and I think radish but it could have been some sort of non-sweet melon, which I'm still not sure was meant to be cooked or not.

By the time I was finished, all my broth had been boiled down to nothing, and I still had a lot of food left but had eaten enough at this point, so it was okay.

Were the platters worth the price? No. I would definitely recommend getting al a carte options, and I wish our sever (I say server but I mean the person who sat us and made us chose what to order immediately and we didn't see again) had been able to explain anything about the menu to us so we could have gone that route.

Anyway, I do not feel well today, which is the only reason I'm writing this review, and I'm attributing it to the raw meat, seafood or the broth I was served.

Overall it was a very big disappointment, but I don't want to give 1 star since there were some redeeming qualities to the meal, and I believe it would have been fine e.g. on a regular Tuesday evening.

Anyway, this is why I don't recommend coming here when there's even a chance it would be busy.

I won't go back...

I’ve been here multiple times and the service has been nothing but incredible. The hotpot? Most authentic in Czech Republic with excellent quality and portions.

What genuinely irks me was a bunch of Czechs who left a one star review for the business despite coming here all the time.

The worst part?

They are disrespectful to the Chinese culture and traditions by using chopsticks to hit beer bottles, people’s shoulders and even going as far as to hug waiters and waitresses. (Without consent)

Not to mention positioning these cute big teddy bears into physically inappropriate positions to accommodate their small minds, narrow minded perspectives and definitely country bumpkin mindset.

If you are put off by the 1 star reviews, keep in mind they are left by uncultured swines that use their personal agenda and disrespect to get points across to hurt an honest, wonderful business.

I highly recommend this restaurant for food and it’s...

This place is really good. It’s worth the trip to Zizkov to try great Chinese food. This place is so good that I stopped mid-dish to write them a review. The Tom Yum hot pot is very fresh and flavourful, the right spicy with a good amount of ginger and lemongrass. The meats are especially worth mentioning - very fresh and very tasty, well portioned also. The dumplings are probably the best in Prague. Incomparable to Vinohrady’s hipped up noodles place at Jiriho z Podebrad. These dumplings feel home made, chewy, heartful and juicy. Even with a young staff and one week after opening, the place is so welcoming and inviting. They really make you feel like home, smile a lot and are willing to go the extra mile. One of the best services in Prague. And also, very nice atmosphere especially over the hot pot shared tables, great lightning. Good job for everything.

-Old review- 4/5* Food is good quality and as expected is a clean hotpot restaurant. Service is good and polite but should be more flexible. -Update- 5/5* I came back for dinner with my gf and her sister yesterday. Waitress was 5/5 and so was the atmosphere and food. She was quick to refill water, clear empty plates and check in every time between now and then to make sure everything was going well. The establishment itself has been open for about a half year and I’m really happy to know how clean and sanitary the restaurant itself is. It still looks as if it’s brand new which means the staff takes pride in their work. You definitely have a returning customer for the future 😉
