Arirang - Sushi Grand — Restaurant in Prague

Authentic Korean? Very far from it. We ordered Pajeon(파전) and Budaejjigae(army stew 부대찌개). Pajeon was good though its style was a bit a different. But 부대찌개 was NOT. As a Korean who enjoys cooking, just putting a lot of meat into stew doesn't make a 부대찌개. It's a dish with very strong taste with vivid red color and a bit of saltiness. What we received was more like a watery, half salted Chinese hotpot. It barely had any taste and was under-spiced. I felt like I was just having hot water smelling pork. Also, the condition of meat varied. Some tasted fine but others tasted weirdy sweet and had too strong pork smell. The only thing that I found authentic Korean was seaweed served as side dish. Other than that, the service was good and we got a small fruit dessert. Plus, it's owned by Vietnamese people and I think that could have been the reason why it was so different from Korean style...

Hello dear foodies: So we tried a new (to us at least) take out Korean Sushi place last night called Arirang and the google map reviews are correct - great price - value. Sushi was really tasty, fish was fresh and the rice was perfect, so what more can you ask for? We got 2xs the 50 piece combo for 529 kcs - one of which which is good for two pretty hungry adults, or a normal pair of adults with one child. (We like left over sushi 🍣 for breakfast and lunch the next day, but maybe that’s just us. 🙂) It was a craving-satisfying experience, but I have to admit, I am really beginning to miss the simple pleasure of going to a restaurant, sitting down and enjoying a good meal. This place is a secret pearl of Vršovice. If you are around and feel like good sushi that won't ruin your wallet, you cannot think of a better restaurant. Small family business with very friendly staff gives you great value for money. We always take a set of 50 pieces that includes salmon, tuna and cucumber Maki, some nigiri and a huge selection of california rolls. Nicely cooked and flavored rice, fresh fish, neat looking. 529 CZK. Fried rolls are not so impressive, don't go for these. You get a soup and a plate of fruits with every meal which is a nice touch. They do a lots of Korean dishes but I'm not so familiar with these. Interior is not exactly designer and I would rather avoid the visit...
