Don’t let my 4 star rating fool you, this is a lovely place which I would return to. It is only a few subway stops and a short walk away from the city centre, which is quite convenient.
The staff were extra friendly and helpful, which I believe is the best part (plus the house cats which are wonderful).
The bed was extra comfy, and the linens were quite nice. I was very impressed for the price.
Breakfast is basic, but free, and a quick start to the day. There are some things I would improve upon if possible. Fresh brewed coffee as opposed to a machine would make a big difference. Some additional plugs or a power bar in the room would be helpful. If the drapes in the room were able to block out the sun a bit more, it would help a lot, as would an alarm clock available.
These are minor improvements, but overall I enjoyed my stay quite a bit. Again, very helpful staff, and a great location. It is quite similar to a hostel with a private room and shared...
Read moreThe worst motel I was ever been. The worst staff ever! Specialy some man wich look like turkish. Only black guy is ok. Too small room (on photos it does not look so) I reserve double bed, they told me that I will have double bed, but when I came thay gave me two singl bed. Thay did not gave me soap and shampoo. Thay did not gave me thoel. Parking is too small but way to parking is incredible small. Also when you came on door, in any case (from outside or inside), you have to go to hotel to ask them to open the door of parking. Interfon does not work. Way to hotel is terible! There is no asfalt, it is rock way full of holles. If you have sport car, you will not come into hotel parking. Visitors are mostly young and drunk children. Brekfast ... if you like to eat for brekfaat Nutela and juice, then it is ok. Rest is not good.
I really giving good marks, uaualy 4 or 5 stars, but this time not. One star...
Read moreI recently stayed for a month in Hotel Jana in Prague. I found it to be very clean and affordable and the continental breakfast to be quite impressive. It's lovely to sit at a table and eat outside in the gorgeous garden on a summer morning in good weather. Note that part of the affordability comes from sharing washrooms (which are kept scrupulously clean) with others. It is in a good location, being less than a 10 minute walk from the Metro and about 3 minutes walk from a tram line. Including walking time, you can reach the centre of Prague in only about 20 minutes via public transit. There are grocery stores, coffee shops, pubs, restaurants, and banks all within close walking distance. My only complaints are that the house-keeping staff can be somewhat noisy first thing in the morning, and WiFi can be very slow at times. ||Nevertheless, I would highly recommend Hotel Jana to anyone looking for a budget place to...
