Anyway, just f this. No baloney. Unless you're looking for interaction and politeness with staff, I would not recommend you coming here. Until my 3rd day stay, i realise some ppl commenting are true, that the doing of staff are 'official'. I'm bothered and annoyed. I was exhausted af and still the staff asking me question when im entering the property... (it's just one of the incidents) . The day before, during midday, when the cleaning lady hasn't yet finished all the cleaning and changing of bed sheet, I asked the staff if I can change the bed. She said moving beds costs 100kč for cleaning fee... you could ask the front desk... What a joke! I don't think she's an intern, but just that she doesn't want any problem coz it wasn't her problem. Ofc, following company policy is the safest approach for everyone working under the company. I guess that's the reason behind for her to have such response. To be frank, the issue was solved after all. So no worries, I guess I just asked the wrong person. (I put 2 star instead of 1 star owing to this actually) . It feels like a lot has happened. I could be an example for the general feeling of an introverted person. Ofc, with enough rest, I sure speak normal and much more and do enjoy interaction with staff (in other hostel) . Don't put yrself into some dump holes if you don't want questioning from staff. Perhaps rules are stricter here. It's alright if you're looking for interaction with roommates or other ppl at lounge. If you're looking for a comfy environment, you shall come to this property for the room and lounge. . If you're staying in dorm room, lemme know how's yr experience so that I'll consider if I'll be staying here again, since sometimes you don't have much last-minute options in Prague....
Read more3 Definitely stars for it's current conditon. Pro's & Cons:
Cons: (1)The cards to doors often need to be reprogrammed to get in/out ones room. Very frustrating. (2)You WILL be woken up at night by other people arguing over who is sleeping in what bed. Why, because the hostel has no clear visible way for people to select a bed and make it known that is their bed., Or the Hostel could make thinga simple and juat allocate people bed numbers. (3) The shower heads are disgusting. There is obvious mold growing all over them. Hostel needs to replaced these. (4) Not directly in the heart of Prague. So it could take a while to get back after 11pm if you want to party and use the public transport system. (5),The girls complained guys constantly walk into and use their bathroom while they are in it. The guys said there was no clear sign on the door. . . Nor door do the bathroom entrance doors close if someone leaves it open. These are simple things that the hostel can address.
Pros: (1) Very Friendly staff (2)Modern interior (3)Happy Hour every night with three different beers (4)Tram stop is right outside. -Tram 22 uses thia stop. Great thing about that is, it's the one tram that will take you to all three metro/subway lines quite quickly but also to almost all the major tourist spots. Including the bottom and the top of the castle. (5) The green metro line is two tram/bus stops away. You can use with any tram/bus to get there. -The green line is great because it's a faster way to get to the touristy areas (except...
Read moreThis property has a weird attitude security. First, each bed has a padlockable box with a plug socket inside, so you can leave your phone on charge with the peace of mind that that it won't be stolen, which is good. Then, there are the more questionable aspects: dorter key-cards only unlock the lift button for the floor of your dormitory, not any other floors, & my 2nd-floor card won't unlock the communicating door between the stairs & the lift lobby on the 4th floor, for instance. There is even a keycard lock on the door between the stairs & reception because the property management company that owns the place doesn't want tenants of the apartment on the upper floors of the building, which share a staircase, going to the reception. On the other hand, the entrance is meant to be locked from 11pm to 7am. I was there at midnight & found that staff had propped it open with a doorstop.
The place's token excuse for a hostel kitchen is the smallest room in the building. It has not a single bowl large enough to accommodate an instant ramen noodle soup. It also has no sieve, although it does have a colander. I feel like my great-aunt in saying this, but, while I am quite used to leaving hostel kitchens slightly cleaner than I found them, this one was particularly untidy, although this may just have been because it...
