We are here because our daughter is attending a figure skating camp. The hotel's right at the skating ring. We chose it because of that and were told there is WiFi everywhere. Us adults need something to do too.||||So... ||||WiFi only on first floor. We are on second floor! No T.V either. It's about 0400 in the morning and about 40 degrees Celsius in our room! Cannot open windows more than a quarter. Went downstairs to go outside and cool down. I am locked in! No one to be found... ||||Made me think. To get to our room I must walk to the end of first floor go up the stairs and walk back to the end of second floor. Even though there are stairs at each end. They are just locked off from use. ||||Combined with the fact that we are essentially completely locked in, I would say this is a fire trap.||||Room is fairly clean. NO amenities, i.e, mini bar, refrigerator, Tv. No aircondition either, which is making it unbearable for me. I am a cold weather person. Three towels. One per person for four days. Actually not sure they will provide clean ones, if asked. ||||Generally it has a run down look and feel. Booking.com says there is parking. But it is only a very small area. Several of us spent a half hour getting the gate open. It is broken. The staff just stood and watched. Made absolutely no effort to help at all. ||||I am pretty sure you can find something, in the same price range, where you can open a window if you need to or go outside. So i would NOT...
Read moreClose to tram station that within 20 min you can be in a heart of Prague, without trying to drive your own car there. (Good luck finding parking in the Old Town). Has a gated parking that you will always have parking, not look for spot on the street. Staff is very friendly and all of them speak English. Prices are reasonable, and fairly cheaper than anywhere else. Have smoking and non smoking rooms. Plus you don't have to pay for parking. In November it cost us 30$ for a night. They even have tickets for tram system at the hotel. So if you just got there and don't know around it helps a lot. They accept credit cards, cash only in Czech krone. And did I mentioned they have ice ring in the same building! You can even rent skates and skate for 2 hours for like 6$. You can even manage to watch a few local games for free like we did. Dining restaurant is just descent. Have few beer selections but nothing too great. Food is OK, like old school, but not home made style. You might wanna look for a better place to eat, although if you want just some warm soup that...
Read moreRundown hotel, rooms are carpeted which is unsanitary, I doing a bug black spider on the curtain, bathroom is small and odd, no toiletries other than hand soap and toilet paper, only a single shower towel per bed/no hand towel, shower head is good pressure and temperature but placement is horrible and too high, there is no place to put clothes or towels without getting them wet in the shower, the curtains are sheer so block no light light, the noise from the halls and street are very loud and echo most of the late night and morning then all day (thuds, running, pecking at window, singling). Internet is intermittent (70% connect time, and only 30% strength). The location is 40 minutes by tram from the center, very close to a bus stop, free parking, some good tables and cabinet space, relatively cheap, but there is little else that's good. I have no idea about...
