Phở Nam Định — Restaurant in Prague

Usually I do not ever review places but this was definitely a once in a lifetime experience that I recommend to anyone visiting Prague. First of all, the restaurant is located in Prague’s Little Hanoi where you can try a variety of authentic Vietnamese foods that are generously portioned and beyond worth the price, remarkably in Pho Nam Dinh. During my ongoing stay in Prague with my mother, I’ve visited SAPA three times in which the only food we genuinely wholeheartedly enjoyed, was in Pho Nam Dinh. The food is as authentic as it can get, the atmosphere is very homely and inviting, the portions are very generous and the flavours are absolutely mind-blowing and one of a kind. It is important to honourably mention the hard-working owner that helps prepare the food along with managing customers. She was very kind while hosting us, offering us drinks, bread, and making sure we were enjoying the food. After finishing, she insisted we take some candy for free. An absolute sweetheart she is. Very much recommend visiting and supporting the restaurant, it is something I will definitely remember for the rest of my life (exceptionally the flavour). After we sat, no one came to take our order for a long time. Eventually we had to go to the counter to order. The woman was so in a rush that she didn't even look at us. We waited so long for the food, and the table next to us bought snacks to eat while they waited. I ordered Pad Thai, and it was one of the worst I've ever eaten. It was just noodles soaked in sauce with peanuts on top and some cabbage. The tofu was watery without any taste. My friend had the soup and said it's ok. They don't take cards, only cash or QR code. 10 out of 10 - worth the 30 min ride from P1 - took a tram & bus plus walked about 11 mins. Talk about authentic Vietnamese food, vibes & hospitality.

The lady behind the counter is the Vietnamese mother you need in your life! I ordered the grilled pork with vermicelli & pork spring rolls. Delicious 🤤 - she came to talk about the dish and make sure you knew how to eat it. They were quick to help if you needed anything.

Plus a Foco Lychee drink - what more can you ask for. Such a good menu to choose from.
