The hotel's main disadvantage is its location. You have to first walk for 5 minutes to reach the bus stop; then a 15-minute bus ride will take you to the subway station called kacerov, from where a 10/15- minute Metro ride will take you closer to the centre ; and finally, depending on where you want to go, you have to either walk, take a tram or a bus. So you would be spending greater part of the day shuffling between different modes of transport. ||||There is yet another disadvantage. The hotel is manned by 3 Vietnamese at the reception and 2 Czech cleaning women. There's Nicole who is polite and willing to help, and Honza who helps but with a frown and a huge attitude. He often forgets that he is in the hospitality industry where courteous behavior goes a long way. He claims to be a friend of the owner. That perhaps is the reason behind his arrogance. Nicole and Honza don't understand English very well. You can just about make them understand what you want. The other three don't understand English at all. So you got to play dumb charade to get things done.||||The hotel doesn't have a kitchen. So there's no provision of breakfast or small bites if one is hungry. There's no supermarket within walking distance either. After I pointed it out to them, they started keeping bananas and apples in the reception area, presumably for guests. But it was not offered to me, so I got my own fruits just as I had been doing earlier. I believe the hotel is owned by a Vietnamese. That explains why the Vietnamese guests receive a warmer welcome than the others.||||Pros||The bed was comfortable. The shower stall was spacious, and the bathroom as well as the room, clean. There's a corner for tea and coffee in the reception and you can have it as many times as you want. It's free. There's also a water dispenser from which you can get both warm and cold water 24 hours.||||Would I...
Read moreOn the surface, that's a nice accomodation for a tourist or a business person visiting Prague. It's not safe, however, for women accommodated alone: my aquintance reported that personnel started harassing her and her roommate several days into their stay. It went so far that one night a staffer with his drunk friends attempted to break into the room by force, and relented only after the police arrived. The other day, they have locked another woman so a police needed to help...
