Very much needed Asian community in central Europe. It's nickname of "Little Hanoi" rings true as you feel literally like a tiny version of Vietnam.

It is not glamorous or clean, and certainly not like the tourism-oriented "Chinatowns" around the world in big cities. It is full of alleys and puddles and crowds of people doing business. If you want sterile streets, kitschy Asian stereotypes, and bland food for white people, go elsewhere. Here you will find authentic food stands and tiny shops, independent sellers and vendors of Vietnamese products.

We were so happy to find rare Asian snacks, dishes, groceries, and products.

You can explore all day and eat all day until you're bursting, all for good prices and great tastes. There are very unique spots, and hidden gems. There are also the more typical places to appeal to tourists/white people who have not had a lot of exposure to Asian (esp. Vietnamese) culture like bubble tea, accessible pho, those hipster Asian snack shops.

There are some ATMs on site scattered around, and the toilets are available for a small fee and are actually not too bad.

It was such a relief and breath of fresh air to spend a day here, wandering around eating...

This place was amazing. I went there today (27 Oct 2017) and it almost blew my mind, the size of the place. It is indeed a little town in its own right with Vietnamese being the dominant language as most signs and info are in Vietnamese language only. Although mostly Vietnamese , there is also a smaller Chinese community and a couple of Indian, Korean, or Cambodian shops and people in this town. locally living Czechs as well as the immigrant communities are the primary customers here though I did spot 1 or 2 tourists there too whilst i was there.

The entire area is significantly more multicultural than most of Czech republic (you see mostly Asian people but also some Indians/middle-eastern people/East Europeans(ukrainians/romanians) or the Romanis so even for Prague, it felt very nice. The people all seem to get along and depite the fact that the place needs a makeover, desperately in some places, it felt quite peaceful and warm/safe. Certainly NOT a ghetto. Definitely worth a visit if you are living in Prague because there is a lot of Asian food and merchandise which you would be pressed-hard to find anywhere...

Buďte otevření novým zážitkům a užijte si atmosféru tohoto unikátního místa.

I was here to buy bulk Czek chocolates. The place is almost 10-20 % cheaper for all products than any standard super market in the city .

Discovered this place on Google Maps at random, took a bus out from the city center (30-40min) because we didn’t have anything better to do. So glad we did! It’s really strange to walk around on a cold and cloudy day, and feel like you’ve been transported to Vietnam. It’s not polished or beautiful (it’s basically an overgrown parking lot with warehouses and shops) , but there are few tourists if any and there’s an authentic atmosphere (including a lack of construction safety) any South Asian person will recognise. There’s a small pagoda, lots of little food stalls (quắn ăn) as well as restaurants. There were a lot of things I wanted to try, so I recommend walking around for a bit before deciding. I think it could be improved with a bit more greenery and planted trees, better toilet facilities and road repairs, but at the end of the day it’s not a tourist destination. If you enjoy experiences out of the ordinary, it’s worth the trip.
