Rangoli Indian restaurant - Pankrác — Restaurant in Prague

We visited the Rangoli Restaurant on our first day in Prague, excited to try an Indian restaurant abroad. The experience was mixed.

For drinks, the raspberry lemonade was refreshing and the Indian rum was of good quality. Among starters, the masala papad turned soggy quickly due to the heavy toppings, making it hard to eat. The chicken malai tikka was disappointing — the chicken was tough, lacked flavor, and felt like it had been cooked separately with cream/yogurt added at the last moment without blending well. We also ordered the fish tawa fry which had very little fish compared to the overwhelming amount of sweet masala, which overpowered the actual taste of the fish

In the mains, the Nilgiri fish curry was decent but slightly grainy instead of the smooth texture usually expected from coconut milk–based curries. The lemon rice was flavorful but a little undercooked, with some grains still hard.

On a positive note, the gulab jamun for dessert was excellent, and the staff was very friendly and attentive, always available for our requests.

Overall, the food was average for the price, but the warm hospitality made the experience...

I recently celebrated my daughter's birthday party at this amazing restaurant and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! The staff at the restaurant went above and beyond to make our day special and organized everything beautifully.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and ushered to our reserved area. The staff had arranged everything perfectly, from the seating arrangements of approx 25 people to the birthday decorations.

The food was top-notch as well, with a wide variety of dishes that catered to everyone's taste buds. The service was impeccable, with the staff constantly checking on us and ensuring that we had everything we needed.

What really stood out to me was how the staff interacted with our little guests, making them feel welcome and special.

Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion or just enjoy a delicious meal. The staff are amazing, the food is delicious, and the ambiance is just perfect. Thank you for making my toddler's birthday party...

One of the worst experience of food. I went on monday for buffet, and first it was below the quality, tasteless and looking quite cheap. I asked if I can get some chillies, the guy told me that it is chargable. Its okay, but noone refused me to accommodate such small request in the past.

Second, There was a mango lussi bottle kept around the area where thali and straws are kept were chargable. The information about the price was cleverly hide behind the cutlery box. For two person, i ended up paying CZK 540 for useless buffet.

I would label them as willfull cheaters, arrogant and bad restaurant. I will for sure never go there again or will suggest anyone, but you guys decide...
