We went to that hotel after a telephone order by the assistant of our regional director, who shared the stay with us. Even though we offered to confirm the order by email, the operator said that she had it written on paper and that it was enough for her. After arriving at the hotel, we stood in front of the hotel for 15 minutes, as no one was at the reception. Therefore, we all tried repeatedly to call the numbers listed under the reception bell, but without success. We got to the hotel only with the arrival of another guest who had the keys to the entrance. Unfortunately, everything was repeated at the reception and we waited another 15 minutes without the reception staff. Only after that we learned that the check-in was at a completely different hotel, where we had to move. At the Oya Hotel reception, we had to fill in our login details like in the Middle Ages, and since their tablet didn't work, they gave us paper forms. As we did not have reserved parking and the parking lot was full, we left the car on the sidewalk by the hotel. We went for dinner, where we were warned that it would take a long time to order, as they have a lot of orders (there were 5 people sitting in the restaurant). After a while, the operator came along with the waiter and they started attacking us and wanted to see in our phones that we really tried to call the reception. As we were in a hurry to attend the lecture, we left the hotel in a hurry, but at the reception we were again stopped by an arrogant waiter saying that paper forms are not enough and that we have to fill out everything separately electronically. There was another electronic tablet at the reception where guests can register, but it was possible to see the personal details of other guests in the hotel, including birth numbers, ID numbers, etc. GDPR? this hotel, as the restaurant does not operate in the OTAR hotel. In the morning, no one wanted us to fill out the form, they issued us an invoice for parking, even though we didn't use the parking lot. Read morePLOŠTICE NA IZBÁCH S kamarátkou sme si zajednali ubytko na 2 noci cez booking, v cene boli zahrnuté všetky dane a poplatky, no v deň check-inu si na recepcii vypýtali poplatok za mestskú daň znova. Upozornili sme ich na to, že tú daň sme už platili spolu so všetkým, no pani trvala na tom aby sme to zaplatili znova v hotovosti (200kč). Izba vyzerala byť čistá a útulná, primerane k cene. Keďže sme mali za sebou dlhú cestu vlakom, rozhodli sme sa že si na hodinku zdriemneme a pôjdeme do mesta. No v noci keď sme sa vrátili sme ešte nevedeli čo nás čaká. Ako sme tak ležali na posteli, rozprávali sa, zrazu som si všimla že niečo nám lezie po posteli. Myslela som si že to je len nejaká “muška”. Nad postelou nám visel obraz, ako sme sa rozprávali, kamoška sa pozrela hore a všimla si, ako sa za rám obrazu schovali nejaké nohy. Ano ano znie to vtipne, ja som sa tiež na tom smiala že je iba unavena a paranoidna. V tom som začala vtipkovať že “haha to budu isto ploštice a v noci ťa dokúšu”. Asi po 2 minútach sa strhla na to, že 2 tieto isté “mušky” nám lezú po stene. Nejako sa nám to nezdalo, ona si to odfotila a začali sme špekulovať, čo by to mohlo byť. Ludia, keby ste videli tú jej smrť v očiach ako sa pozerala na tú fotku, približovala to, skúmala a s roztraseným hlasom a slzami v očiach povedala že to ploštice naozaj sú. Všetko z postele sme pohádzali na zem. Na izbe boli 3 obrazy, všetky sme dali dole aby sme ich pozreli. Prisaham bohu, VO VŠETKÝCH 3 BOLI PLOŠTICE, či už mrtve zosušené alebo živé. Rychlo sme sa zbalili, rozmýšlali sme čo budeme robiť a kam pojdeme (bolo pol 1 v noci). V tom som počula susedov na chodbe, vybehla som von, povedala im čo sa stalo a spýtala sa či by boli láskaví a pozreli sa aj oni či tam niečo nemajú. Na to nám povedali že “a čo ste čakali od lacnejšieho ubytka?” Nečakali sme žiadny luxus ale neviem možno sa tomu hovorí základná hygiena? To im očividne nič nehovorí. Zobrali sme si veci, vyšli von a na hlavných dverách bolo číslo na ktoré sme mohli volať v naliehavých prípadoch. Zavolali sme tam, vysvetlili sme situaciu a na to nám pánko povedal že nám vie dať druhú izbu v ich hoteli. Samozrejme po tomto zážitku sme ich velmi rýchlo odmietli nakolko by to bol ten istý scénar. Tento milý pánko mi položil telefon. Volala som mu znova nech nám teda povie čo mame robiť, kam ísť a že chceme aby nam teda zajednal hotel na ich náklady. Na to mi povedal že nám nemá ako pomôcť keďže jeho ponuku sme odmietli a znova mi položil. Znova som mu volala, oznámila že ráno o 7 nás môžu očakávať na recepcii a podávame sťažnosť. Zúfalé, unavené, s ťažkými cestovnými taškami sme chodili po okolí aby sme našli nejaký bar, kaviareň, čokolvek kde by sme si mohli sadnúť a zohriať sa. Dlho sme nevedeli nič nájsť, ani na pumpách nám nedovolili sedieť, vraj to majú zakázané. Nakoniec sme našli podnik, tam sme sa chvílu zohriali ale ten sa tiež zatváral. Našli sme najbližšiu zastávku električky, odviezli sa na hlavnú stanicu a tam sme sa bez hanby zložili, lahli si na zem a na hodinku si pospali. Neboli sme jediné tak nám to prišlo ako prijatelná a “normálna” možnosť. O 7 sme prišli do hotela na recepciu, unavené, hladné a doslova nasrané že to ideme vyriešiť. Recepčnej sme povedali znova čo sa stalo, ukázali sme jej fotky a teda poviem vám, vobec nevyzerala byť prekvapená. Trvali sme na tom aby nám okamžite vrátili plnú sumu peňazí, daň za návštevu mesta (ktorú sme nejakym spôsobom platili 2x) a oznámili sme jej že toto len tak nenechame a budeme to riešiť cez hygienu. Znova nám povedala aj ona že nám nemá ako pomôcť keďže ešte neobdržali platbu z bookingu a že si to mame vyriešiť s nimi. Takže celú túto skúsenosť hodnotim ako 10/10 že to už nikdy nechcem zažiť a neprajem to nikomu. Samozrejme peniaze nam vratili z bookingu, hygiena sa volala a povedali nam že pošlú kontrolu. Dufam že sa tak aj stalo pretože toto je naozaj nepripustne a aj na to že je to lacnejší hotel, slovo hygiena im podla mňa nič nehovorilo odkedy...
Read moreI stayed in Hotel Otar for three nights on my business trip. My room was very spacious and clean on the top floor. There was almost +30 degrees in Prague and air was quite warm and thick in the evening. Luckily the bedroom had an air source heat pump which cooled it quite fast. The room didn't include an iron or a hairdryer but I didn't ask if they could be borrowed from the reception. The location was very good for me: near Prague Congress Centre, Arkády Pankrác shopping center and two metro stations. The breakfast was more one-sided than I'm used but I got my stomach full. The wi-fi worked very well all the time.||||On the last morning I left my luggage for storage at the hotel reception. On my way to the airport I went to get it back and first the receptionist didn't remember my bag. When I said that I left it for her in the morning, she asked me wait for a minute. Finally I was told that my bag is on the bus to Slovakia and I was shocked. Fortunately the reception staff handled the situation well, I got my luggage back and arrived to the airport in time.
