Bad service, and warning to people with allergies to be super aware. Would especially not recommend this cafe to people who suffers from allergies.
We asked the waitress about wheat free alternatives to the burger bun due the wheat allergy. She told us, that they have a gluten-free bun. I asked if the gluten-free bun had wheat in it, and she just shrugged and said it was gluten-free. I asked if they could do a mushroom bun, since I could see portobello mushrooms on the menu. She said she would ask the kitchen, but came back and said they could not. I asked again about wheat free alternatives. She seemed quite annoyed and said the gluten-free bun. We should have left, but I asked if they could do a Caesar salad then. When it came it had bread on the side ….
Obviously the waitress doesn’t know the difference between wheat and gluten, which can be excused, but the bad attitude can’t.
My husband had a fish and chips. The fish was over breaded. We give one star for the fries (and also because we...
Read moreVery enjoyable terrasse, pretty cocktails which really made me want to order some even though I don't drink, and delicious food. The house burger looked a bit simple and underwhelming, but the meat is outstanding and the seasoning gave it a special twist. I cannot remember the last time I enjoyed the actual beef in a burger as the star of the dish, instead of whatever topping or dressing. Definitely one of the best burgers in town. The fries with estragon dressing are out of this world. The general atmosphere and presentation felt just a tad pretentious to me, but the localization of the outdoor sitting on the paved streets surrounded by old buildings is worth it and the quality of the food is up to...
Read moreIf it was possible to rate the place with 0 stars i would have done it. Yesterday we went there to have dinner. I chosed Confited Pork belly served with fried nudels, cashew nuts, ginger and green curry. One would think this should taste like a asian inspired dish? This wasnt the case. It didnt really have any taste to it, as teh only thing you could taste was the insane amounts of salt that had been used. For a dish that cost 180 DK kr. i would have expected a LOT more. After sharing the experience with my colleagues i can conclude that this isnt a single mishap, it is the normal apparently. There are lots of good places to go and eat in Aalborg, so do yourself a favor and go...
