Il Locale — Restaurant in Aarhus Municipality

Good beer, decent pizza. This place just opened up, and as one of the few pizza restraunts in Aarhus offering gluten free pizzas (my wife is celiac), we were excited to try it. The pizza is OK but not great. The best pizza in town is still definitely la piccolina, and since the cost the same it's hard not to compare. The crust (both regular and gluten free) was tough and chewy, and by the end of the meal my jaw was a little tired. The ingredients and sauce where also OK, but not amazing. Overall if you put this pizza in a take-away box and told me it was from a nearby kebab place I'd probably believe you. It doesn't taste like premium pizza, but it is as expensive. Not a bad pizza by any means, just not great and a bit cheap tasting. On the upside, the place is cute, very central, and has a great selection of craft beers (mostly from Brooklyn Brewery). Increase the quality of the pizza and this would be a five star for sure. For now, La Piccolina is still by far the best...

Amazing pizza! Absolutly wonderfull, and great service! The only minus which is also a big one sadly is, that they bake (I think) and serve the pizzas on aluminium trays. Meaning that there are a lot of small (Invisible) aluminium particles in the food. Its also very clear to see that there are deep scratche and lines in the tray from removed metal. Where do you think that metal went? I will tell you. Into peoples food and then into their bodies.

As I am very sensitive to heavy metals I got a very bad headache and fuzzy feeling in my brain after eating there, which lastede for like 3-4 hours. Very sad because the pizzas was absolutly delicious!!

I havent asked them if they could make the pizza some different way and not on these trays, because the pizzas and the place live up to the hope for sure!

Perfect experience, can't wait to go back. Stepping into a restaurant with fast moving pase where the coworkers are laughing to one another, is just a 10/10 experience. Felt like they really liked their jobs and each other.

Service was remarkable, like stepping into a group of people that just really cares alot about your evening, that's how you're approached in my experience. Sounds silly, but really felt more welcome than I have anywhere else.
