Amazing little place near the waterfront. The food was absolutely fantastic and service amazing. The portions may feel a bit small, however the food is filling and will not keep you wishing for more.
We had the soup starter (probably the best tasting one. Fantastic combination of tastes and textures) The curry (ok, as far as curries go) And the free range pork (the sweet sauce and beets have it a special taste) Of course we also had french fries which were pretty tasteful and thankfully not pre-fried
Lastly we had the stout beer, which was one I've never tried before and really enjoyed. Not too much of a coffee taste but an overall full body with a nice kick.
The place gets busy so make sure to book beforehand; you can do so in their site in a couple of minutes It's also a bit pricey but you can expect that from the location and the type of restaurant.
Probably one of the places one should dine out to of you are visiting Aarhus....

I tried a disaronno sour which is my favourite cocktail and I was curious because the ingredients were different then what I'm used to and I can say it was a great choice!
Really a great vegan friendly place, absolutely recommend ☺️
I also tried the vegan appetizer and it was pretty good and interesting, next time I would get bread for the soup.
The service was also nice and fast, everyone was polite. The atmosphere is cozy and the building looks nice, it doesn't look like a restaurant by the door outside!
It was a bit too noisy with the music and amount of people, but it makes sense on a Friday night.
Great job! I will...
Read moreHaving been to Madklubben in Copenhagen and always having a good experience, I had high hopes. However, the waiter forgot to enter our order so it took 1 hour and 15 mins to get our starter. He kindly brought over some free drinks to apologise, so all was forgiven, it’s normal to make a mistake once in a while. But for the rest of the dinner they just forgot about us - we waited 45 mins for our main course (which wasn’t great - so salty), couldn’t get a water top up / were never asked if we wanted any more drinks, and then waited 20 mins for the bill. Overall it took almost 3.5 hours for 3 courses - people that came 45 mins after us had finished their meal while we were still eating our mains. Wouldn’t...
