I had my first try at the old Takumi stand at Aarhus street food market some years ago, it was quite delicious at that time where a bowl cost just around 90 kr or so. Fast forward today in 2023 the stand has now evolved it self into a full scale restaurant with amble seating arrangements.
The broth flavour of my Genki Ramen was less salty then what I remember, which I guess will suit most Danes. The char siu pork slices were very delicious and tender and I wish I ordred more of this over the ekstra noodles.
Oh well lifes choices ☺️
The added bean sprouts was a bit disappointing as it was not cripsy fresh, but more soggy in its consistency. The overall toppings from Mu Er (which are similar to mushrooms) , corn, nori seaweed, springs onions and half and egg all go well together. The presentation of the dish is very good 👍.
Overall experience better then Gaijin Ramen!
Nitpicking:
No physical menu at the table, need internet to log on to their FB profile or you have to stand at the counter and read the menu very quickly.
No visible trash bin for your used napkins.

Read moreI am incredibly happy to have Takumi Ramen in Aarhus. They clearly put a lot of efforts into the interior design of the restaurant, it really feels like being in Japan. Especially the single seating in the middle with the curtain, I never thought I would ever see something like that in Denmark.
Service is quick and efficient. However accessing the menu is unnecessary complicated. Standing at the entrance just disturbs people, and either you have to take a picture of it or login Facebook? Not everybody has Facebook. If you really don't want to have a printed menu, at least make a QR code that links to a website and not Facebook.
The Ramens have pretty big portions and are very good. The broth isn't as rich as in Japan, but that's nitpicking. Some of the side dishes are a bit of a miss, 65 dkk for 5 pretty small and average tasting Gyozas,...

Every visit so far has been a fantastic experience with delicious meals and wonderful service. You can taste the quality of the ingredients and how much time and expertise went into creating the amazing food. The new restaurant is also so lovingly decorated, that it is really an experience to eat there.
My personal favourite is the Black Garlic Oil Ramen, since i prefer non-spicy food and it tastes delicious and comes with tons of vegetable and the famous Chashu Pork. We also always treat ourselves to at least one of their side dishes, since there's so many good ones to try - the pan seared gyoza are to die for!
We will definitely be visiting many more times in the future and recommend it to anybody who has a knack for Japanese cuisine and...
