B's Fiskeværksted — Restaurant in Bornholms Regionskommune

This restaurant really blew me away. We had heard good things about the place and booked a table for three. They contacted us to inform us of a special serving of five dishes chosen by the chef. We took this offer and were so pleasantly surprised. The staff was very friendly and observant. The food was excellent from the first playful three snacks to the magnificent dessert of whisky infused pear with chocolate cream and hazelnut ice cream. A stop on a bicycle tour. We got here in the afternoon so unfortunately only the lunch menu was available. I tried the smoked herring. This is my first adventure with this form of herring, but being on Bornholm, trying it is almost mandatory. The dish served in a beautiful form quite tasty but did not impress. Of course - degustibus "non disputantum est" so this in no way detracts from the overall opinion. Sadly a disappointing experience today. First the evening Menu Card was on our table. we asked for one herring starter but could only order 3 herrings. My smoked trout was served as a main course instead of an appetiser as I asked for. Herring was tasty but main meals too large. Explanation was I ordered from the evening menu!!! It was very expensive and the Spanish wine not good. Felt the owner/waiter might reduce the bill in view of the mistakes but he did not agree. Service was a little slow and I really wont eat...
