This restaurant caters to Indian tour bus tourists, it's part of the all inclusive package. One, two and some say even three buses a day of real Indian tourists. Indian people are "gentle people" as in gentlemen, you only say something nice, and the bad you keep to your self and your close friends. So of all the tourists I have asked, no one have had a bad ting to say about this place. Indian food is not a monolith, some places it burns like fire, in other areas it's sweet like a plastic duck in a bathtub. But in my opinion Deep restaurant delivers the archetypal Indian food non experts expect and generally appreciate. I've had worse in 5 star restaurants in India and better in local dhaba's. If you order the buffet, you get excellent value for your money. If you order ala carte, the price goes up and so does the expectations, we where not disappointed as such, but one always hopes there is a chef in the kitchen that can create magic memories. Deep serves satisfying food that will appeal to most. Regarding service, it is not authentic Indian. Maybe things have changed, but the many years I lived in India, I never ever saw a woman serving. The lady who served us was charming and accommodating, she is an asset. And personally I welcome more women in this male dominated part...
Read moreI have been ordering Lamb Biriyani (Wolt or self pick up) from this joint quite a few times and I admit, I had great services in past! Only last week I visited the place to dine-in for the first time, with my family of four. Before visiting, I called them in advance, asking about the buffet option for non-vegetarians and they confirmed positively. We reached the place around 18:00, ordered three buffet, three mango lassi and one vegetarian dinner from a la carte menu. The buffet had very limited option- plain Rice, Naan, Choley, Bean Sabji, Daal, Chicken and fish along with hot Gulab Jamun accompanied with papad, raita, chutneys . No starters or Ice cream, no Biriyani or other meats. For dkk 149, it’s limited option for non-vegetarians. The buffet food tasted great -no complaints there… but quite disappointingly in midway through our meal, around 18:30, they pulled off the chicken item from the buffet, then the sweet mango chutney and lastly the gulab jamuns as well! instead they gave us two small gulab jamuns each. A buffet do not work like that! The mixed veg(Sabj nawratan or something ) from a la carte menu was basically overwhelming tomato curry with half cooked cauliflower in it. Probably won’t be...
Read moreI really don't know what's wrong with Indian restaurants in Copenhagen. It's more or less common across Europe as per my experience. Hardly anyone provides authentic Indian taste. And I don't find options more than butter chicken, jalfrezi, tikka masala and vindaloo anywhere. The buffet here costs 149 kr., but the food is not at all upto the mark. Everything had lot of chaat masala or somekind of sour taste to it, including butter chicken. Butter chicken had kebab chicken pieces rather than having tender chicken pieces. I have now learnt that it's not a good idea to try out Indian restaurants. Sorry to say but me and my family were disappointed with...
