I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kareten, a restaurant and bar located on Amager, and I must say that it was a truly exceptional experience.
The interior of Kareten is old school decorated. The seating arrangements are comfortable, and the overall ambiance is perfect for a relaxed and enjoyable meal and drink. Whether you're looking for a nice dinner or a social gathering with friends and family,
Now, let's talk about the food. The menu at Kareten offers a wide variety of dishes, of traditional Danish cuisine. Each dish is autentic, using fresh ingredients.
I had the pleasure of trying their pebber sauce with rice. Each bite was a pleasure to the taste buds. And more importantly I had beers that fit the meal perfectly.
The service at Kareten is relaxed. They were attentive throughout the meal, ensuring that I and mys guest had everything we needed and promptly addressing any requests or inquiries.
Overall, I highly recommend Kareten on Amager to anyone looking for a relaxed dining experience. The combination of honest food, service, and relaxed ambiance creates an stessless visit. Whether you're a local or a visitor, this bar and restaurant is definitely...
Read moreTraditional Danish café, old style, all interieur from mid-20th century or before, very cosy atmosphere, no tourists or very few, local citizens flock around and enjoy the classic Danish kitchen, in no sense gourmet food, some of the dishes a bit heavy, but if you like to start with Herrings and the well renowned Danish “snaps”, eau de vie or Grappa like drink it is a great place to go. Although the do not have a full bar of beers, the beers from notably Belgium and Britain are wonderful. There are the monks brew and the darkest, most creamy, caramel stout I have long tasted. When you come to the coffee the place can offer a Strega or a Chartreuse. The dessert itself was a very disappointing treat, some blue cheese and big, big can of riz a la Mande, you had to go and serve yourself, that’s ok, but the taste was mediocre. I will probably come again for the atmosphere, but not for the food.
Read moreSo, I rarely give 5 stars review, however I have no other choice. This restaurant is not only from the decoration and interior as MUST see, but also the staff is amazing (and this guy was not Torben). And now comes the food. The soup was amazing, the fish was awesome and the Rote Grütze was very tasty. In between the courses we were entertained a lot! Thank you for that nice evening 👍👍👍👍👍 Greetings from your guests from Germany and...
