Hanzo is interesting in that it offers various dishes from both the Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Thai Kitchen. I recommend trying the Hanzo Experience that serves you with a little bit of everything: Thai curry, Chinese dumplings, Japanese sashimi, Korean bao, Korean fried chicken etc. However, the recipes are... different. Call it fusion if you will.
Top marks for service and atmosphere. Food was also great, with the variety and little twists as the highlights. Especially the bao, fried chicken and beef+shrimp sashimi dishes left a good impression. However, there were little issues here and there: rice a bit undercooked, Thai curry too salty and the Chinese dumpling (you get only one) fails to impress once you've tried the real deal in Shanghai.
Despite the minor issues, Hanzo comes out on top. Prices are very reasonable, service and atmosphere is top notch, and I recommend their cocktail "menu" where you basically get three cocktails at the price of two. And yes, they do know how to make cocktails. It's something that Madklubben never seems to compromise on.

Read moreThe food was good and the ambience was lovely, I especially appreciated the design and atmosphere of the restaurant. Unfortunately, the service made it harder to fully enjoy the experience. Our waitress seemed quite new (a colleague was closely supervising) and wasn’t very familiar with the menu, which made ordering a bit awkward.
We were rushed with barely a minute to review the menu, our glasses were moved by the rims when food was served, and dishes and glasses were cleared while we were still eating or drinking. At one point I even had to ask her to put something I didn’t finish back. Although we were there for just about an hour, we were interrupted around five times, which made the meal feel rushed.
Ideally, service should be attentive yet almost unnoticeable, so that guests can simply relax and enjoy the food...
Read moreMy partner and I did the Hanzo experience where you get 10 tasting dishes to share and we loved it. There definitely felt like there were more than 10, and we both walked away full (I forgot to take a picture of some of the courses). Service was perfectly paced and we didn't have to wait too long for anything, they took the time to explain each dish and that definitely made the experience even better. Some of the best service we've experienced in Denmark, they were friendly and incredibly welcoming, so shout out to them for adding to the experience. Would definitely return to try some of the...
