We had a lengthy discussion at our table about how to rate this place.
The thing is, that when you’re rating restaurants for Google, you have to make a relative judgement based on other restaurants in the same tier. Meaning that I am obviously not going to rate Hong Cheng, to Geranium or to your local pizzaria. You rate Hong Cheng, against other Chinese buffets. And based on that, it’s a four.
Why? Because of the selection of items. They got everything a Chinese buffet needs. The menu is large, and all the items on the menu is average at best, but the selection is large. They got everything you need. Many fried dishes, curries, desserts, Mongolian barbecue, veggies, sauces - everything. And everything is average at best.

Read moreFood was not the best, quantity was fine, but quality was really not what I aimed for. Price was alright, water all you can drink for like 20 kr. My main problem was that they were lacking refills a lot, and I mean a lot. At one point i think at least 40% of the dishes were empty, and some for at least 30-45 minutes before being refilled. Sushi was almost entirely empty though the entire stay. Maybe they had a bad night, maybe they were short on staff, who knows. But I was really disappointed, even though I didn’t have high expectations for a Chinese all you can eat.
