Sale e Pepe — Restaurant in Frederiksberg Municipality

Fantastic food, fantastic service, wonderful atmosphere. From time to time you come across a restaurant where the owner loves what he is doing and Sale e Pepe is not only one of them, it also shows in many details. The service is outstanding and kind, the wine and food menu is small(er) but very well refined, the atmosphere is authentic and comforting, the prices are more than reasonable.

Copenhagen is a city where a lot of restaurants offer flashy dishes with sophisticated names and crazy ingredients that end up tasting mediocre. This place is (luckily) the exact opposite. The side dishes are seasonal, the presentations is classy but simple, however, the taste and quality are among the best I ever had in an Italian restaurant. The staff is not only very friendly but also very professional, which completes the fine dining experience.

Me and my partner went here three times now and stayed almost until closing time because we did not feel like leaving. The food and service quality was constantly great across all visits and we are already looking forward till next time. This place is a true gem and we highly recommend anyone to try. Even though we originally dropped in after the kitchen closed they were very accommodating and friendly and assisted us with everything we wished for. Food was served quickly and tasted delicious. Service was friendly and the ambiance was cozy and authentic. It was very crowded though so I would recommend making a reservation in advance.
