I was looking forward to dinner in this restaurant, the menu looked great when I took a look on the website. The Norwegian lobster caught my eye. On arrival at the restaurant there were no staff to greet me but I could see they were very busy. I found my group of friends. We were a mixed group of Norwegian, English and Danish. Three of us chose the fish which sounded great too and ordered a wine to complement it. The wine arrived but the waitress informed us there was only 1 piece of fish left. We looked again at the menu bearing in mind we had just ordered a bottle of white wine, and I said, no problem, I will take the lobster. Two of us chose lobster and were asked if we wanted 3 (the starter portion) or 5 (as a main). Strange question but we said 5. Everyone got their meal. One friend had ordered a side salad which was huge, ‘wow’, I said you chose well! Our lobster was ’jomfru lobster’ which is similar to a langoustine but not what we were expecting, as we thought it was lobster. It took a long time to eat ( there was only one shell cracker which we had to share) and there was a lemon mayonnaise and grilled lemon to squeeze over. When I got home I ate supper because I was still hungry! I checked the website menu. We should have had salad too! Maybe my friend’s salad was for 3 of us! But it was placed by her side! In conclusion the food was good but the service was poor meaning we didn’t realise that it was not lobster but langoustine ( in my opinion a good waiter would explain that especially with a mixed language group) and we didn’t...
Read moreWhat a fantastic experience! We came here for my father's birthday dinner. What a beautiful and cozy restaurant! The staff were spectacular from the moment we walked in. The bartender welcomed us with a big smile and told us our server would be right with us to seat us. The restaurant was packed. Our server, Thomas made the entire evening perfect! He was charming, fun, and made us laugh. He even brought my father a traditional Danish flag for the table to note his birthday. Thomas really cared for all the little details. He made recommendations from the new menu, which did not disappoint. I had the escargot and the ravioli. My husband had the tartar and venison, and my father had the night's special appetizer amuse bouche and the venison. We finished the evening with Irish coffees made by Thomas himself. Everything was delicious! Well done, chef and well done team! We cannot...
Read moreUpdated review. My wifes birthday and on the day of arrival 10 persons the staff called and said that since they were busy in the kitchen we had to pre-order the food. OK fair enough, a bit tedious for us to call everyone and take their orders. But then the staff (Mille) said that we all 10 had to order THE SAME FOOD... Never in my life heard anything this stupid. This used to be a great place, now I will not come here again. They have grown and forgotten about good service. Luckily there is a great sushi place next door where we got a table and didn't have to preorder the...
