By far the worst experience for a five star restaurant .Me and my family had a reservation for 8 PM. We arrived a little early around about 7:40 and was seated promptly This is when the nightmare began. we requested to sit outside, and as we got outside, there were two tables together, so they separated the tables for my family of 4. Once we were seated 2 white females were seated at the other table. The waitress brought us water and about 15 minutes later we ordered drinks.Drinks took about 20 minutes while the table beside us had their drinks. My father in law and myself proceeded to salad bar. I told my spouse what I wanted in case the waitress came to take our order . When we arrived back to the table the orders had been taken . My father in law forgot to get butter for his bread.10 minutes later my spouse asked the waitress for butter and it took 3 times to ask for butter to get it and when she brought it it was the entire saucer of butter from the bar.We all and ordered onion soup for the appetizer. I noticed the table beside us had their appetizer while we were still waiting. we asked the waitress what was taking so long and she said they were very busy in the back, but there were several empty tables throughout the restaurant. after waiting another 20 minutes, the soup finally came out. and at this time the table beside us had their entrée and on their second glass of wine. I waited approximately another 10 minutes and I told my family that I was leaving and going back to the room they stayed and was still treated poorly. The food arrived around 9:30 PM and they asked to speak to management and they were very apologetic but the problem is customer service is totally lacking. No one seem to take the time to notice that we had not been taking care of during our ordeal. We were visiting from Atlanta Ga.And will never visit your...
Read more2 stars for service and friendliness of staff. The food was not good, the salad bar was cold, bland, stale, salty or a combo of all of those. The food we ordered was clam chowder appetizers, the pasta frutti di mare with black (ink?) sauce, and the prawn foia gras lobster ravioli. My clam chowder never came but trying my girlfriends I decided that was for the best. The pasta was too fishy and far from the seafood medley that a frutti di mare is supposed to be. The ravioli dish was a SINGLE ravioli topped with two measly shrimp, foia gras was no where to be found but the ravioli was actually not bad..if only there were more of them, maybe 2 or 3.
Frankly the best part was the bread with some butter they served, but even that was pretty stale and hard.
All in all, I don't recommend it. If you do go don't get those dishes
The biggest punch in the gut for this place is that me and my girlfriend left wanting to go to one of the buffets on the resort and that shouldn't have happened with a restaurant that we were supposed to make...
Read more1 of the all inclusive restaurant choices. We are from the US, Boston Area where the seafood is 2nd to none!!! We were seated before our reservation time. We hadn’t even picked up the menu to see what we wanted, a waiter came over & asked if we knew what we wanted. We asked him to come back and he said “I’ll be back in 2 minutes.” Not impressed with the pressure to select what we wanted. We had at least 4 servers waiting on us. The salads bar selections were delicious! Beware the clam chowder, it was just clam juice, butter and salt (no clams) & the lobster bisque was brown not orange, very fishy, salty, not creamy & no lobster! I offered the lobster, butter & garlic sauce and got 3 - each with a tablespoon of salty fishy tasting meat. Nothing like what I expected! The mashed potatoes were good. The desserts were the same as the buffet- a great variety...
