I just visited this resort from October 26-30. The majority of the staff does not speak English which would make accommodations much easier. First day arrival once entering my room I found it wasn’t ready. It had no wash clothes to bath with(most visitors/vacationers had no wash clothes either and also experienced toilet issues). My toilet did not flush without holding the lever down due to poor pressure throughout this resort. Maintenance whom after several attempts to falsely repair the toilet using older parts tried to convince me “this is normal!” Throughout the night the toilet would run. I had to physically go into the bowl pulling the lever to fill the tank to stop the running. I spoke to a supervisor whom visited my room then attempted to move me to yet another room in which also was not prepared to occupy. Upon entering the buffet the food seemed to be a mystery. Some things I could identify while others I had no clue to what it was. There were not many options or the taste wasn’t good. I visited a restaurant where the rice was undercooked. “Meaning it was not done and hard” There are just so many other things I could complain or share but at this point being back home I know I’d never go back to this resort even it were free! I’m an avid traveler. I’ve been to many other resorts in Punta Cana and throughout the world and never have I experienced anything like this. The only safe haven was the sports bar which mostly consist of “finger foods” for late night snack and the Hibachi restaurant. Both were located on the Palace, the adjoining resort. The Palace’s food was also a hit or miss! I can’t tell you what your experience would be like. For all I know tomorrow they may read my review and make some changes for the near future. As of right now today though, “you’ve been warned!” Safe travels...
Read moreIt is Punta Cana’s main beach and is one of the largest and most popular beaches in the area. The town of Bavaro is lined with small shops and dotted with luxurious all-inclusive resorts. No trip to Punta Cana would be complete without some time spent on its gorgeous beaches. Playa Bávaro.
It is one of the most popular shorelines in Punta Cana, with its powdery sands, swaying palm trees, blue waters, and a bevy of amenities, including water sports rentals, dining options, and nearby accommodations.
there is so much confusion about where it starts/ends, and entrance to public beaches as 80% of beach areas are occupied by resorts. The beach stretches for 12 miles between Macao and Cabeza de Toro, but keep in mind that there are just four public access points at Corales, El Cortecito, Jellyfish, and Bibi Jagua.
Bavaro Beach has several subsections that all have their name. However, they are all connected and you can explore them walking consecutively. El Cortecito and Corales are two of these stretches and are very convenient
The clear waters off Bavaro Beach make it ideal for snorkeling, and many hotels on the strip include snorkeling equipment during your stay.
don’t imagine it to be a crowded beach. There is always something going on, people are enjoying their beach walks and locals are sitting in the sand, but as the beach is extremely long and wide, you always have more than enough space, and it NEVER...
Read moreWe stayed at the Bavaro Beach Adult only resort from March 04th to March 13th, 2023. Upon our arrival, we were met by staff. They were friendly, smiling and welcoming. From previous experiences at other resorts, we did not expect this to last, but we were wrong. During our entire stay, the staff was friendly, helpful and welcoming. We absolutely loved interacting with them. The resort was well kept, clean with lots to do. Our room was beautiful, spacious with a very comfortable bed. We spent most of our days at the beach and nights around the resort and over at the Barcelo Palace which adjoins the Adult only resort. There is a shuttle train (CHOO CHOO) which goes between resorts. There is a nice variety of A La Carte restaurants included and some with a minimal fee. We tried the Santa Fe Steakhouse which we loved. We weren't very pleased with the Coral Seafood restaurant, but could just be a matter of personal preference. The Kioto Japanese restaurant was excellent and is a must. And last but not least, the Hoyo 19 restaurant on the golf course was by far the greatest in terms of quality of service and food. We will definitely return to this resort. Shout out to Jorky (entertainment), Marguerite (Omelette station at The Caribe Buffet) Joel and Angel at the reception and Jeanine at guest services. You and the rest of the staff have all made our stay better than we could...
