Ocean Adventures — Attraction in undefined

DO NOT BOOK!!!

We had booked a spa cruise through Amstar at our resort. The issue with Amstar is a whole other review. It was pouring a half hour before we were suppose to depart and we tried to cancel but Amstar said they called Ocean Adventure and where they are located it was not raining and appartenly it was not looking like it was going to. So off we went. It rained, hard all the way there. It was so bad where Ocean Adventure is located the streets were flooded. We found out it had been raining most of the afternoon there which means the representative from Amstar lied to us so we would not cancel the reservation.

The water was very ruff, there was thunder and lightening and it was clear we could not go out. Instead of canceling the tour they kept us waiting there for two hours always telling us, “we just have to talk to the manager.” Or “we have to talk to the owner.” “Or “ I just have to make one phone call.” Two hours they had us wait in the storm never telling us why they would not let us leave. The buses and drivers were parked right in front of us yet they kept us there saying nothing had been canceled yet.

DO NOT book anything with these people. They actually took out boats with other tours. The storm got really bad. Taking anyone out was irresponsible. To...

The staff here is amazing and the experiences they offer even better! They offer a catamaran ride to get there with great music! It is located in the middle of the ocean! They offer swimming and snorkeling with sharks and stingrays, you can also touch and get pictures with the stingrays, and you can swim with dolphins, which to me is the best thing they offer! I went with family that has seen and done swimming with dolphins in other places and they told me that so far this place was the best! They do many interactions with the dolphins that many other places don’t! I did everything mentioned above and can say that everything was amazing! I will definitely come back to Punta Cana just to do this again!

The guy that was in charge of the dolphin interactions did an amazing job as well as everyone else! The guy that took my pictures went above and beyond! He took many shoots and they all looked great! His name is Carlos for anyone interested!

We did the sailing splash excursion and had a great time. It was a really fun trip and our guide William was really fun. The snorkeling was great, the speed boat ride was fun but a little short, and the food and boat ride/dancing were great. However, when we pulled up to the platform they immediately told us we couldn’t take photos which made me feel like something was off. (They also charge you $80 for the photos they take which is steep) The stingrays/dolphins are kept in captivity in a smaller than expected area however they are still in the ocean. The animals seemed to be pretty well cared for and not in terrible distress. I had no idea that the stingray part was even part of the excursion so it was a surprise. Not sure how those animals arrived there but just hoping it’s more of a rescue situation than just capturing them. The platform around the tank isn’t that high and the dolphins can jump higher so I’m just surprised they don’t try to jump out. Just hope the animals are cared for and happy....
