El Higüero Buffet Restaurant — Restaurant in Higüey

I wasn't impressed. I believe that food menu and cooking should be improved. They can't cook seafood well. Actually, it seems they don't know what it is. :))) A lot of dishes are not popular and seemed strange. Why not quit them. Less quantity, more quality. Meat taugth. Fish over dried. Pasta normal. Some days were good enough. But only some ... And for proper food you have to stand for a while. Fruits are not enough for exotic country. It can be appreciated by people who devoted to fastfood only. But not by those who are able to cook. Pineapples are ok. But please don't compare them with Moscow in winter. Higüero is the main buffet restaurant for the Caribe Princess and Tropical Princess all-inclusive Resort. The food is the best that this country can offer and based on that, I always select my favorites. Always a great cheese selection, breads and of course, chicken and beef. Salad bar was always very good. The fish was always grouper, hake, sardines, salmon or calamari. I honestly did not like this buffet at all. It was very small and did not have many good options. The food was ways cold and even my simple foods tasted odd. No organization or manners as well and it was a crazy free for all. When this is your only buffet optionin the resort youd think it would be better

They only serve wine, beer and champagne. So if you wanted a martini, good luck! Nice for mimosas.
